Corruption vs Divine Forces

 

 

 

The set up.

 

 

 

Corruption wanted the fight against DF this week, and we were told they were taking a week off. However Lego approached us early in the week to set the fight up. It was a landmark fight for CoR , as we wanted to send Lukas (our warlord) off with a win. We knew that we needed to be able to return this week and we had grew a lot from the last run in.

 

 

 

Starting

 

 

 

Corruption - 300 opts (100 people)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Divine Forces - 420 opts (140 people)

 

 

 

The first hour

 

 

 

SUCH a mess. With so many people on each side, every single pile went invisible and it became incredibly for both clans to get more than one pile without having to get a fall in. This continued until we both settled down a bit in terms of numbers.

 

 

 

The next ~2 hours

 

 

 

DF had a hell of a lot more than CoR. They had a very very large snipe unit of about 45 people and it made everything tough for Corruption to do anything but get one pile and hold it. We regrouped and many times did it tough without a fall in - so we ended up having to hug GDS and endure the fight. DF ended up doing it as well later in the fight which makes me feel a bit better.

 

 

 

Middle of the fight (hour 3 - hour 7)

 

 

 

After showing amazing dedication returning during the harshest period of the fight, Corruption managed to continue returning and DF began to lose their 140 starting - going down to about 105. At this time the fight became even, both clans had big spam, tanks and kos. Both clans had good binders, so for about 5 hours it was an evenly matched battle to take the lead.

 

 

 

The finish to the fight (hour 7 - hour 12)

 

 

 

Corruption never dropped below 85 in TS. While we started with 100 we still had 90 in TS even 8/9 hours into the fight. We held our numbers like true champions, and pushed DF constantly for the last 5 hours of the fight. At around the 8th hour AG entered the fight and began crashing the hell out of the fight targeting Corruption fall ins. We moved on regardless and TT + the other AC clans came to help us out. The last 3 hours was DF dragging the fight out regrouping as their leaders did not want to leave, they dd'ed in the GDS like we did earlier and they simply did not pile anyone. Our transitions were amazing, our binds were incredible and we held way over 200 opts at this point time making a come back impossible.

 

 

 

Finally we got word that DF was walking down to BH and at this time - presumably leaving. This was confirmed by DF officials and a final sweep of the wilderness.

 

 

 

Final thoughts

 

 

Corruption fought with grit, determination and pride the entire 12 hours. Starting with 100 in TS, ending with 90 in TS and 300 opts in game tells the story of how much we wanted this fight, how much we put into this fight and how well we performed during this fight. Down by 40 people at the start we did it tough, but through sheer will power, perseverance we battled through and earned one of our most amazing victories to date. Corruption - congratulations!

I was there for the whole 12 hours lol, 7pm to 7am. Gmt unit ftw :shock:

 

only died 15 times despite binding the entire fight (got through over 3k nature runes) and got 38 kills I think.

 

I videoed the last 2 hours after I stopped lagging, and I'll upload that probably sometime tommorow after I've got some well-earnt sleep.

grats guys when someone told me DF had 400+ opts I thought youd lost it. We came about 3 hours in and killed off a few crashers we saw targetting your piles

I'd say we've been the best clan in the game before we won this fight. We have an amazing community, far more than non-members expect without experiencing it first hand, we have an incredibly active member base (df had to muster up all their retireds to outnumber us, while we've pulled over 100 just from members two weeks in a row, and we can pull even more if we needed to) and the only clans that can give us even much of a challenge are TT and DF, both of whom we have more wins than losses against. All this after 6 years without leaving the top 5 ranks of clans. I'd say we're the best 8-). And I'm not even trying to sound arrogant lol, I genuinely think that.

I'm inclined to agree. You guys always pull a huge percentage of your ml and I havn't heard of you losing much lately, unless you have only been posting the losses on RSC. :lol:

but still, we've been a top clan as long as I have known anything about top clans which is like 4 years when I joined my first rsc-based clan lol.

I heard we were destroying you in the first 7 hours and you started to pull away around the end. Gratz, lets see if it happens again next time :)
