December 5, 200817 yr Has anyone stood under the shadow of the shooting star and allow it to land on you? I was wondering if you take damage or die from it? I've been tempted to do it but I always have valuables on me and don't want to have to race back to my gravestone if it were to kill me. Anyone tried this?

December 5, 200817 yr What about no. What a nice contribution to an interesting topic. To the OT: I'm interested in the answer also, but I'm afraid this belongs in Help & Advice.
December 5, 200817 yr Author OK. Maybe it will get moved by a mod. Thanks for your mature response SwordKing.
December 5, 200817 yr Author Omali, I only do wildy stars and kill revs on the side, so I'm not going out there naked . . . :)

December 5, 200817 yr It cannot land on you, it just drops and you appear next to it  2376/2376 total achieved - May 2009 Retired Dec 2009
December 5, 200817 yr Author OK. Thanks so much for the answer! Is that from personal experience with a landing star??
December 5, 200817 yr Yeah lol, I always try to get crushed by 'em :D 2376/2376 total achieved - May 2009 Retired Dec 2009
December 5, 200817 yr It cannot land on you, it just drops and you appear next to it  As a matter of fact, it can drop right on your head. You will take no damage whatshowever and you can just walk away to get out. I'll post an image next time it happens to me. If you want to try it without any risk: locate a fallen star first, hop to another world, go stand on the exact spot the star is in and hop back to the world with the star. This gives the same result as when it would fall on you.
December 5, 200817 yr Whats the difference? I said you appear next to it which you basically do when it lands on you, you're not under it are you -.- 2376/2376 total achieved - May 2009 Retired Dec 2009
December 5, 200817 yr Whats the difference? I said you appear next to it which you basically do when it lands on you, you're not under it are you -.- Yes you are. \ Well maybe not under it, but you get kinda fused with it, you and the star occupy the same space. You don't appear next to the star as long as you don't try walking anywhere.
December 5, 200817 yr I thought it was a secret where it landed. Do you mean you can tell where its going to land before it actually lands? How much exp per hour can you get mining stars then? IS is faster then mining grantit?
December 5, 200817 yr You probably don't die, you just get inside it. Then you can probably walk out of it and start mining it. Why I think so? Because if I was wrong we would probably all by now had heard about some noob who got smashed by a start and then started to rant about it. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
December 5, 200817 yr As stated above, you just end up standing inside the star when it lands on you and you can mine it while standing "inside" it. Interesting side note though: if you get a teleporting random while standing in the star, it sends you to Lumbridge when you're done with the random event, not back to where you were.
December 5, 200817 yr I thought it was a secret where it landed. Do you mean you can tell where its going to land before it actually lands? How much exp per hour can you get mining stars then? IS is faster then mining grantit? you've got the wrong idea, once you have the location, it always lands in a certain place in that location.
December 6, 200817 yr You can be under them, but your morely in them, you can just walk out though. Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde
