muggiwhplar Posted December 10, 2008 Share Posted December 10, 2008 Along with changing their attack styles and making the drops rarer, Jagex introduced another hidden update to the Tormented Demons today... their spawns have been changed, or at least their wandering zones. Most people kill the demons close to the entrance of their lair but now if you use that spot, it isn't long before up to 3 demons attack you until you log out. Before this update, I think that was the only spot where you were safely limited to only one demon as long as you stayed within your small safe zone. Now it seems that no place is safe to kill them without being attacked by more. Does this mean that you'll need a team to kill these efficiently now? Infi Posted December 10, 2008 Share Posted December 10, 2008 Then they're not extinct, JaGex just made adjustments to the demons in order to more accurately reflect the difficulty they had in mind. It's in a multi-zone area and JaGex did intend for you to fight these with a team. Either make them quest rewards or drops, not both. The way they are going, they may as well just remove demons from the game, they will not be worth doing because the drops won't be worth it and they will be too hard to kill. Want to be my friend? SirTommy2005 Posted December 10, 2008 Share Posted December 10, 2008 They moved and added rocks around because there was a way to lure the demons near the entrance, and because of their step range was too extended they would just stand there helplessly not retaliating with you being able to attack them at melee range. But then again it's also hurting D claws prices because merchants are hoarding them and they are near impossible to get in the GE. The only way they're gonna make this un-soloable is if they take the Commander Zil approach and make the room a big empty square and take out all rocks and pillars. And theres still a glitch with the darklight that makes the whole process fast as can be. All they've done is filtered out the stupid and lazy people going after these. Anyone who has been there from day 1 knows all the best strategies and is gonna continue to rake in the claws and make a fortune. Need assistance in any of these skills? The only thing that keeps the claws special from being ridiculously overpowered is its rarity. Because they are so hard to obtain, it somewhat balances them.
