December 12, 200817 yr Baldur's Gate,NeverWinter Nights,IceWind Dale. I love the Forgotten Realms. Agreed, except get Neverwinter Nights (1), and not the second. #2 was just horrible compared to the first. Baldur's Gate II was one of the best RPG's I have ever played though.
December 12, 200817 yr I couldn't finish more than the first 10 minutes of NeverWinter Nights II, and the first one I played all the way through (even the expansions) multiple times. 1 is definitely better than 2. morrowind. Best PC rpg money can buy. I second this motion.
December 12, 200817 yr Also System Shock and System Shock 2. Maybe more FPS than RPG but it's a good blend between the two and both incredible games (well, haven't played the first yet) [edit] And Planetscape:Torment.
December 12, 200817 yr Is Deus Ex considered a RPG or FPS? I'd probably ere on the side of FPS. Mass Effect is the same way, but for that I would ere on the side of RPG.
December 12, 200817 yr I approve of this thread, ive been trying find a decent single player RPG for a long time. Im sick of finding some sort of RPG-RTS style game, I want something I can physically interact with. What I really want, I suppose, is a sort of offline MMO, like Oblivion, but.. different. The only thing about Oblivion that bugs me is that you need to buy new spells constantly just to improve a little bit of a current spell you already own, like the time scale on invisibility or the 'bound' weapon spells. I suppose ill just wait for Diablo 3 in the mean time, however.

I don't have NWN 2 yet, haven't bothered to buy it.I don't think Obsidian did such a great job, apparently. Damn Toril is the best campaign setting, after Krynn. so i herd u liek devarts? If you look at me and feel offended by my 666-ism,think.I could be just as offended by your "cross".[hide=This's why I'm hot]The Eleventh Commandment:Thou Shalst only say "Amen, brother".Amen, brother :lol:Amen, brudda (referring to the 10th commandment)amen Bruder! December 13, 200817 yr 2 others people haven't mentioned yet would be the old but brilliant Planescape Torment and the equally brilliant but new game The Witcher. Plus the enhanced edition of The Witcher just makes it all the more sweet.
December 15, 200817 yr Geneforge is great if you enjoy a deep storyline with a great emphasis on character building. You can do lots of stuff like summon creatures to help you in battle and there is also a lot of emphasis on moral choices. (http://www.spidweb.com/geneforge/index.html is the official site of the first one, but there are 4 currenly out for windows, and also a fifth for mac (will come out for windows in march 2009))
December 15, 200817 yr Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a pretty decent game too. It works a bit differently from traditional RPGs, but it's pretty solid.
