[hide=]top bar: "Tremendously much missions, much monsters, no installation extremely detailed graphics, shadow and lighting"

Buttons (fltr): "create account, play free!" "free users, click here to play!" "members, click here to play!"

banner above text: "start the adventure"

button left of guthan's belt: "click here to subscribe"

text: "Play NOW for free!

join 6 million players in a huge world,

No installation, no download, play directly from your browser,

train skills, beat monsters, experience adventures,

extremely detailed graphics, shadow and lighting,

create your own unique character"

bottom banner: "discover world's biggest free MMO, now in high detail"

(theres a dutch spelling mistake in the bottom banner, it should be "'s werelds" not "s'werelds)[/hide]

Holy hell, I did not know this :P

Yeah, they said they are working on other languages and such.

As for me, I would not play the dutch version :P everything sounds better in English 8-)

Oh mijn god, dit is zo elite! Het godenzwaard van zamorak is om te winnen!

Ik ben rauwe kreeften aan het kopen voor het maximumbedrag in de Grote Wisseling!

I wouldn't complain if I were you about something like that, it's not like you NEED runescape translated in ANY language, I see you can talk in english just fine, it won't hurt you either to learn english better than you already know, and also take into account the time spent translating into other languages can be spent to fix bugs that annoy the hell out of you or make a quest/skill/feature that you always wanted

I don't understand why you want jagex to spend time on such a useless thing, it's not like people CAN'T learn english, and it's a very easy to learn language too

Your language is NOT better than english, no matter what language it is

Runescape.nl makes money off referring people to Runescape unless its a site owned by Jagex.

Someone really should /thread.

My goals:
5M coins: 4350K+ coins 200k+ items - 2 dec
5M coins - 16 dec
I have gotten my 5M by christmas.

-bah this is only here for historical purposes now, I got 20m+ already

"fail, well atleast the title,i wont read it with that colours"

"If you hadn't posted in rainbow I would actually give this a proper read"

"Colours suck."

*I remove colours*

"Where did all the colors go!? This is now 40% more likely to be tl;dr'd due to the lack of colors."

http://whois.domaintools.com/runescape.nl

Jagex owns it.

EDIT: This is interesting. Try doing other runescape.xyz - for example, runescape.it (it = italy) just redirects to the .com version.

If they come out with a Spanish version, I'll play that to test my language skillz (Spanish AP right now).

Other than stuff like that, almost all people who play Runescape know english enough to get by. I find it weird that Jagex sinks so much time into this.

English is one of the harder languages to learn, for a start. Why don't you go learn another language or two, see how easy it is in a short period of time.

You shouldn't talk about things you don't know anything about, it makes you look like an idiot

-romanian: first language, much harder than english

-french: learning for 10 years, still can't handle it well

-japanese: I know several words, not that hard except characters are way beyond hard learning, and the grammar doesn't make much sence

-english: learned in 2-3 years from watching tv when ~10 years old, back when I didn't even had english in school

1. yeah, they are too small indeed, but it's more of an effort to try and open the image, than actually going to runescape.nl :P

2. Who the hell is complaining? not me nor the topicstarter :) Only you are imo

3. 99% of people who play runescape already know English. This would just be an addition for the younger players who haven't already spent time learning English. As for me, my English has improved over the years playing runescape. 8-)

4. True that we don't need runescape in other languages, now we have to wait longer for each update, as everything has to be translated into multiple languages =/ English rocks imo. (also, each language is equal. You don't have to stress out that no language is better than English, now people will interpretate you claiming English to be THE language. (ooh btw, British people are Europe's worst linguists \' (the nice people of Luxembourg are Europe's best))

Runescape.nl has been like this for at least two months(there were some posts about it in the RS screenshot topic back in October).

And a Dutch version of RuneScape isn't needed, unless Jagex is trying to attract twelve year old(and younger) children.

Your language is NOT better than english, no matter what language it is

...Wow. English is one of the HARDEST, most sloppily put together languages out there. It has no set rules for spelling, grammar, or anything because it's around six different languages just cobbled into one, each bringing their own rules for their own words. The only other language I've studied, Spanish, is much better because it has regular spelling/pronunciation rules (you hear a word, you can spell it), and relatively few exceptions to grammar rules (most just a few common sayings and irregular verb conjugations). I say all of this as somebody majoring in English- I love language, but I can admit that English is an extremely frustrating one.

I don't know Romanian, so I can't comment- it very well might be even harder than English.

Learning "several words" in a language is like learning "several notes" on an instrument. It doesn't even count as experience with the language.

Now for your last point, French vs. English... here's the thing. When we're below around 12, our minds are more receptive to learning new languages. 12 is the generally accepted cutoff point to learn to speak a second language with very little accent, and the kids generally have a much easier time learning than older people. If you started French in high school or so, it would have been much harder than English at 10 just because your mind had become more rigid.

it also depends on what your mother language is, you can divide european languages in groups, latin ones (spanish, french and italian), german ones (german dutch and english) scandinavian ones(danish, norwayish (sp?) swedish and finnish) and some other groups like baltican languages and romanian languages, languages from your mother languague's group are easier to learn

English is easier to learn because of the media.

Nearly EVERY media out there is in english, you get confronted with it at an very early age through games, TV and music.

I for one am learning Swedish in my spare time, I had to search in order to get a little media to translate from my head.

If you are a child and you learn a language, its easy. If you are an adolescent you have to have determination, will and fun in the language you are studying.

And for one, a dutch version isn't needed. We have enough dutch people as it is.

English is quite disoranized. Spanish has AR IR ER verbs and my spanish(she also speaks french) Teacher said English was much harder to learn than French was. She also thinks it is more difficult to learn English than spanish/french/German She' learning German)
