I have come up with a simple solution to the problem of frustratingly priced partyhats.

 

(and other rare items)

 

Most people (as i see it) are annoyed either because

 

A their partyhat wont sell

 

B they cant affort one

 

or C they are sick of hearing people rant about partyhats.

 

 

 

my solution:

 

1 halve the grand exchange price of all rare items

 

2 replace every rare item with two of it

 

 

 

In theory, this might allieviate (excuse my spelling) all the woes.

 

think about it.

Could work but why would jagex want to make 2 more of every rare item then it would be easy to get and every low lvl would have one

This only solves it on the price end.

 

But Jagex made rares non tradeable for a reason, they want them gone. They made a mistake at first, and now want them gone.

 

They are lost through death, people quitting, and etc. This is good. But with this idea, this is a jump back in time. Twice the stock. People still have rares, which will still rise to the prices they are at now in a matter of time. This makes more rares, which Jagex wants the opposite of, less rares.

Might as well:

 

- Simply create another version of the game without the phats/with untradeable phats

 

- Give those owning phats a cash reimbursement and destroy all the phats etc

*Facepalm*

 

 

 

Seriously???? Do you actually think these things through? And, how does this benefit those who cant sell one? More people will have them, less people will want them, price will go down, they'll get waaay less money then they would have otherwise had.

Where would all of these extra items go? The ones who have it already? The rich would get richer then.

Price will crash in a matter of days, possibly even to half!

I dont like this, its up to the people to decide the price of an object, if the supplyers of yew logs were to stop selling them, then teh price would shoot right up. I usaly get huge numbers of any object and sell it, but once the price drops i stop selling and let the price rise up some. Its the same with the party hats, if there were more hats then the price would drop and more people could buy the hats.

Double the amount of rares in the game? No thank you. That would just augment the problem.

A. it would only be tempoary

 

B. It would frustrate players

 

C. De-value rares

 

D. Renew the price and trading problems associated with Rares on perhaps a bigger scale

 

E. Jagex doesnt want rares

interesting debate.... u see i think that rares should not be doubled by any means :shame:

 

 

 

however i think that they should lower the price but it wont really help much. rares are rare and if one is sold at minimum price it wouldnt do much.... orrrr it would do too much.... so the GE really sucks at helping buying/selling rares. i dont really think there is a way to fix this problem so leaving it alone and just keep letting players to junk trading is ok atm

If this did happen and Jagex said before they did it then The price would rapidly crash and Phats would end up beign worth way below half even before jagex halfs them.
