Bandos and Armadyl in Future Updates

Recommended Posts

Before you read below, i wanna say i do not wanna discuss about the gods in general (Not that i mind but..), but i wanna just discuss future updates involving spells, quests, armors, weapons. But i got one particular thing in mind: an Armadylian spell.

These gods were more known after the release of God Wars Dungeon. I am curious if we are gonna get updates that has with them to do.

I went to Armadyl and Bandos strongholds, i found out that Armadyl's element is wind and Bandos's earth. I base that on the monsters in the strongholds.

Bandos

Spiritual mage uses earth wave, so does Sergeant Steelwill. General Gaardor himself uses just fists and also shoots out a range attack that seems like air but i don't know about that attack.

Armadyl

Spiritual mage uses Air wave, but it also does some electricity tornado kinda thing but i am not sure if i could call it a attack. I tried to find out what it was but failed. I could take a guess and say it was a spell that boosts it defensively, but it's just a guess. Anyhow i know Kree'ra also uses a tornado attack, which is similar to one the mage used. I also have read on Runescape wiki that Armadyl is rumoured to be "God of sky".

I am asking myself if their attacks are just a coincidence? Because i don't mind future updates that include them.

I even thought of what Armadyl's god spell would be called and conclusion was that it would be "Tornado's of Armadyl" or "Winds of Armadyl". I wonder if Jagex has thought of them in future updates or not, i am really excited.

Do you think we will get a updates that has with Armadyl or Bandos soon? If so what would the update be?

I don't see anyway that they would introduce the new spells except with access to a whole new spellbook with a range of godspells or something along those lines. The next few master quests will probably revolve around the gods in one way or another, so we might eventually get a new spell....But i still dont understand why you think that this exact spell that this monster uses is going to be created, why dont they create the Jad's meteor attack thingy? Is there any special reason why this exact spell?

Jad and Armadyl is totally different, because Jad is no god and most powerful items come from Gods. 3 gods have a spell, Guthix, Saradomin and Zamorak. Besides Jad is part of fight cave, he's not a NPC.

There's also Zamorak, Guthix and Saradomin:

Bracer, Dragonhide, Platebody,Plateleg, Full helm etc..

I can't play as TzTok-Jad, which must mean he's a Non-Playable-Character.

Armadyl and Bandos aren't really main gods; their initial debut (regardless of previous quests that barely mention them) was the God Wars Dungeon, and thus they don't have as much themed equipment as the main gods Saradomin, Zamorak, and Guthix.

The spells used by those god's minions are respective of what the gods themselves stand for, so they're not coincidence, they're consistency.

Kree'Arra is powerful enough to create tornadoes with his wing beats and General Graardor can hit the ground so hard that force flies from around his fists; these are abilities of these NPCs in the form of a spell and Ranged attack, respectively - they represent the bosses themselves and thus cannot/should not be the symbols of the God Spells for those two gods.

If you think of the current God Spells, you can easily retrace what they represent in their respective gods:

  • Saradomin Strike -> lightning attack from the sky - Saradomin is supposed to basically be the Christian God in RuneScape.

Flames of Zamorak -> searing flames that burn the enemy - Zamorak clearly represents Satan and his attack is like hellish fire.

Claws of Guthix -> claws that spring forth from the ground - Guthix is nature, and his claws are like those of a beast.

I did not say that you could not play as Jad, but how can you? The guy wants to kill you. Besides he won't be a boss that drops items, so how would Jad become a drop monster other than Fire cape?

Gods on other hand give their powers to their followers which we kill. Example we kill gwd bosses. Also some followers give us abilities that has with gods to do, a example of that is the tthe blue robed guy in Mage arena, he represent Zamorak right? and through him we learned god spells, who knows where he learned the spells or if it's really spells used by the gods.

But i know that most followers of each god has some things that they all use which is common.

Saradomin priest+Mage =They use saradomin strike. So does Saradomin mage during clues.

Zamorak mages....Flames of zamorak....

But please avoid my theory if you don't think it's any good. The main question is, if you believe we will get Bandos or Armadyl updates of any kind.

I just don't believe that because the bosses use such attacks we will get identical God Spells. I'm all for more god-related updates, even including armor that's mainly just for looks (the Treasure Trail items you mentioned) for Armadyl and Bandos. You can bet that the next Dorgeshuun quests will include something about Bandos, too.

For clarification: NPC means Non-Playable Character.

Neither do i, but there's a possiblity. And since Kree and spiritual mage uses a wind based attacks, it can be a possiblity the spell if we do get one, a armadyl one is wind based. Not that chance of the spell is high.

But yeah i am excited \'

I heard someone say some monsters are NPC so i thought that applied for monsters as well, atleast i had right definition of NPC in beginning. But i guess messed up.

As for the Zamorak mage and Saradomin, yeah they use those attacks, so what? If you can't bring a new info to the table or discuss in a way that's respectable i suggest you leave this thread.

Laughing at me with a "Lol'd" isn't respectable, so i would appreciate that you take this topic serious. If not you can always leave the discussion board

Well, I don't think we will be getting an Armadyl spell any time soon, but maybe with the new Dorgeshuun quest we could get a staff that lets you cast a Bandos spell? Something like the slayer's staff that lets you autocast some old spells and brings new ones?

I think a small but powerful god-based spellbook (no teleports, completely combat based, and heavily dependent on equipment of that particular god).

I'm thinking maybe 6-8 spells ranging from maybe 80 magic up each requiring a staff dedicated to the particular god the spell corresponds to.

I'm thinking 1 Armadyl Spell, 1 Bandos Spell, 1 new Zamorak Spell, 1 new Saradomin Spell, a Guthix spell (I have an idea for that, averages all combat stats out making the players completely balanced -except magic, the spell couldn't make itself uncastable- very risky on a lower level but excellent on higher levels).

OH S***! He/she/it is back!

Saradomin and Zamorak - i do not know. Bandos and Armadyl, i have my bets on Bandos.

Whatever they do [as pertaining to gods] I hope they increase the power of the Godswords and spells.

Perhaps make the BGS spec dependent on weight or the ZGS's blade overflowing with a dark miasmic shadow and its spec hit with three additional Flames of Zamoraks for FREEZERBURN. The BGS could also have a glittering forcefield of power (purely visual effect like with the ZGS I just mentioned) and the AGS could have little whisps of wind about it. I haven't a lot of idea for the SGS except maybe an electricity field on the blade.

The specs (or even normal attacks!) could hit multiple spaces, be stopped by walls, have super awesome cutscene-worth animations... Introduce TACTICS! The ZGS could even set the ground ablaze! Maybe you could add these effects by getting different, nontradable addition pieces from the God Wars Dungeon that can then be smithed onto a completed Godsword and make it nontradable, and require a very high Prayer, Attack, and corresponding level (90 Agility for Saradomin Godsword (E)?). Maybe maxing killcount (4000 in the respected god's lair you are trying to get the piece for) would be a requirement to get these pieces.

Of course these are all suggestions rather than anything with plausible evidence.

But come on... They're GODswords and Spells. They should be overwhelmingly powerful, or at least much more so than they are now.

I'm going to repost this in Suggestions.

His point about the attacks, I think, is that, because the Armadyl/Bandos mages don't use corresponding "god" spells like those of Zamorack and Saradomin, there won't be any Armadyl/Bandos spells.

Jagex could, of course just change the attacks if they add the spells, but there is logic in Toast's argument (even if you didn't see it at first).

Personally, I find the prospect of new "god" spells interesting and these ideas are pretty good (I like the ideas presented by the possibility fo a new spellbook, but I hate changing spellbooks, so I'll just let Jagex decide how to work that).

As for weapons in general, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the new line of weaponry that Jagex is working on. If you haven't noticed, RS's (best) weaponry has kind of gone through stages: it started as the regular metals, then moved up to dragon, then barrows, and now, possibly, "god" weapons.

Just because i have a view of it does not make it true, i just tried to back it up with some evidence. It was poor unfortunately.

Also what he said about Zamorak and Saradomin is obvious...

Saradomin's Strike: Lightning that hits you....Lightning is a element isn't it?

Flames of Zamorak: Fire that turns into Flames....Fire is a element.

But all that is obvious. But there is Earth (Bandos), Fire(Zamorak), Wind(Armadyl), Lightning (Saradomin) so i see a elemental pattern..

Maybe we will get the Staff of Armadyl and a new Armadyl spell after a next Grandmaster Quest

I seriously don't think that it can have a chance to be true. That it being released after next quest i don't think so, but maybe if after the whole series of Grandmaster quest?

The staff is still in Lucien's hand you know, maybe we will get it?

Who knows, or even a tweaked version that's weaker :ohnoes: Or even armadyl equipment! Remember the Armadyl represent during WGS.

We help out Saradomin,Guthix and Armadyl in end of the Grandmaster quest series right? So maybe they will reward us somehow. :ohnoes:

I like the idea of the weaker version.

Bracer, Dragonhide, Platebody,Plateleg, Full helm etc..

Theres also Armadyl plate, chaps and helm, and bandos chest and tassets.

I dont see the relevance of this point.

My point is, the gods and the higher authorities in Runescape world has most items released. So the chance of a TzTok-Jad item/spell is as low as it gets...

Gods items and spells on other hand is not. That was my point...

Am I the only one who thinks these spells could be easily introduced the same way the first 3 godspells were introduced? In the Mage Arena?

Hell, do some quest, and make one of the rewards be the ability to learn the two new spells at the Mage Arena. "Gusts of Armadyl" and "Force of Bandos." Kolodion tells you about them, and you go up and use them on the other 3 mages in there.

100 spells and you can use them. And maybe since they're more uncoom spells, they need lvl 70 to cast them. Let the Armadyl spell lower someone's ranged. You know, winds blowing arrows off course or what have you. And maybe the Bandos spell is such force that it'll stun people for 5 seconds. It's not as complicated or unfeasable as you people think.

You seem to be referencing the original 4 elements. If that's the case, then I have to disprove you here. The original elements were earth, wind, fire, and water. Therefore, Saradomin's spell would have had to have included water for that particular arguement to hold ground. Sorry, cause I like that idea, but that particular evidence is faulty.

However, it goes without saying that Armadyl and Bandos related updates will appear in the future, which is the main point of this thread. Questioning such a thing just showed that you really didn't think about how obvious it was that they would be updated.
