chazzycaz
Direct Quote from BTS 2009: Well, this is the challenge that weve set ourselves: 2009 has become our official Upgrade Year! So, what does that mean? It means our New Year's resolution is to tweak and polish what we've already got in the game alongside creating new content. For example: Doing the 'little' jobs that make a big difference (e.g. a 'You are here' arrow on the world map) and basically fixing all the annoying little niggles the game has. Things that may be the least glamorous to work on and talk about, but which really add up. Obviously the bold area is not meant in a racist or insulting way, although my first thought of reading it was that there would be an uproar, so I decided to search the RSOF: [hide=pictures] [/hide] Im allowed to use this smiley right? This is the Discussion forum so I dont expect this to get locked, I must add a purpose to it! The purpose will be: Do you think Jagex will change the wording of this news article? Enjoy! EDIT: They have in fact changed it! It now says: Doing the 'little' jobs that make a big difference (e.g. a 'You are here' arrow on the world map) and basically fixing all the annoying little quirks the game has. This topic can be locked now =] To all the people who said they wouldnt change it: =P Just kidding ladies, you know I love you =DGuide to Making Money with NPC Trading

FlameHawk18
Well, considering they usually listen to the idiots in the RSOF, I'd say they probably will. Other than that, LOL.

chazzycaz
Niggle Noun 1. a small worry or doubt 2. a trivial objection or complaint [scandinavian] No... The objective of the post wasnt to question the meaning of the word, which as I stated earlier is perfectly proper. The objective is that if Jagex keep recieving comments such as the ones I posted, will they bow down and change the comment.... They aren't saying anything racist or suggestively racist, you wouldn't ask them to change a quest cutscene where your character discovers a [racist term] in his/her armour due to some evil magic because it is racist would you... chazzycaz
Well Jagex have changed updates which havent needed a change in the past... they are very subject to pressure from the RSOF... Just kidding ladies, you know I love you =DGuide to Making Money with NPC Trading
Toad
Wow, seriously... People on the RSOF can be immature, but this is actually ridiculous. its the only thing about forums like this is theres a more select bunch of people, rsof i find is full of idiots trying claim mod-dom (WBMS) saying "wrong forum tern left at da armur sektion" and about 100 nublets posting suggestions like "light sabers in rs pls!11" i feel sorry for the RSOF because jagex have created a monster, its like playing cleanup, brilliant. still convenient for selling my wares though :)

Omali
Niggle Noun 1. a small worry or doubt 2. a trivial objection or complaint [scandinavian] No... Look at #2. HOW [bLEEP]-ING IRONIC. Niggling about niggles, the RSOF reminds us that they are a bunch of crybabies with absolutely nothing to do.
Lleworc
People are just wrong to get any bad meaning from 'niggles'. Is any word that starts with n and has two g's in the middle racist? Can I still say 'nuggets'? :x
Leoo
I am going to admit, the first glance I nearly thought it said :-#, but then I lol'd. Then to see I wasn't the only one  It shouldn't be changed, however it probably will as it: - Seems to be offensive to some people, purposely replacing the word with the racist term - Knowing the RS community, people will start to use this in-game to try and to be racist people (such as "Hey, you niggle" and "GTFO niggles!". Seeing as they can't be banned, but people will know what they were trying to say. I know it sounds stupid, but I know it and you know it, its bound to happen. Replacing the word to something else would be the best idea, but it makes me feel sad that is shouldn't have to.

What Jagex have done is alert the RS community about a word that is not blocked by the censor, that can be used to replace a bad word :? They didnt use the word "[racist term]" now did they? =S Nevermind, kudos to the TIF censor I suppose =P Just kidding ladies, you know I love you =DGuide to Making Money with NPC Trading

Will H
At first glance, I thought it was some kind of South Park reference. One thought process later, and I could tell this was going to happen. 'Annoying little niggles' + RSOF link nearby = Inevitable. Jagex, you dug the hole. Now dig yourself out of it. ~ W ~

Kimberly
*reads topic here and RSOF* *facepalm* Personally, when something has either a "Yes" or "No" answer, there's no discussion value.
