cat666
Torso is pretty meh tbh. Better off with Barrows. Glory should really be a fury. Rune defender is ftw Barrows legs slot but helm you want slayer helm if you are slaying, or helm of netiznot if you are not. I forget the best Barrow combi between legs and body but it's worth using Guthans. Then you can flick the spear/helm in to heal when needed. Trust the Gene Genie! Alon
what is it "meh tbh" and "ftw"?
ladycai
First meaning not too great, second meaning awesomeness. You can leave legs at T's, it would help cover defense from your torso, and maybe you could swap that T helm to Neitiznot helm when you're not slaying. \ 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]

JustPokemon
myself, i stay with neit. for the legs, go with d skirt - costs less, weighs less, same stats as d legs get a berzerker ring a fury isnt worth it, to me you should also get barrows gloves (or your best rfd gloves) and dragon boots if (or when) you have a lot of money you should get: bandos chestpl8 bandos tassets gs dfs but youre fine with what you have

cat666
so what do you guys think i should wear? I wear: Slayer Helm Fury Trimmed Skill Cape (Fire is better and easier to acheive, I'm just lazy) Whip Guthans Body Rune Defender Guthans Skirt Barrows Gloves Dragon Boots Warrior Ring Which is pretty effective. The Warrior Ring increases the accuracy of slash attacks making it better than the Berserker for use with a whip and at a fraction of the price. Dragon Boots are a must. Barrows gloves you can use rune gloves or the regen bracelet. Guthans offers great defense, not the best but the difference between the best is negligible, plus you then save inventory spaces when using full Guthans to heal. Also Barrows armour is cheap, the cost to repair isn't much, for every 11.25 hours of combat it cost me 100k. Thats nothing in the grand scheme of things. Fury can be swapped for a glory but Fury is noticabley different. It isn't like using a Torag plate instead of a Guthans one. Trust the Gene Genie! And Guthan's plate and helm has the same stats as Torags; Guthan's chainskirt is 10 def points lower. quit
Sam
Fighter Torso is good if you like a small strength bonus, though barrows is better if you need more of a defence bonus. Glory is fine, but a Fury would be even better if you can afford it. Rune defender is good if you want a strength bonus, but a obsidian shield is better if you want more defence. Keep Torags helm, but switch to slayer helm/black mask if you are going to do hardcore slayer Keep Torags legs, best platelegs for defence in the game. Whip is great, though switch the dragon scimitar/sara sword to train strength. If you are going to do lots of slayer, buy a guthans set too, you'll never know when it can come in handy. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM

I prefer the Warrior with whip. As for Torag's my point is Guthans is superior as it allows you to heal. Take Torags along for extra defence if you like but you're wasting inventory space and it isn't as if the difference is that noticeable, especially with higher defence levels. Trust the Gene Genie! thesearcher
Also consider the problems associated with the cost of this gear. At around the combat skill levels that both Alon and I have, money making tends to be primitive and it could take time to attain, for example, the fury. From a perspective of cost, the Warrior ring beats the Berserker hands down. Dragon drops: Half shield(cs), med helm(cs) Chainbody (cs) (I do a lot of monster hunting with my clan!Barrows: Guthan's plateboy [1]GWD: None yet, only done a few tripsOthers: I'd love to be able to let you know. Orly_Owl
To be honest, in my opinion, I dont see why people should get V skirt, or pray non specs anyway. Speccing every 2 mins with pray only needs 1 dose with my +6 prayer, I think. Also, torsos really arent that good for slayer, but great for grinding. And even if he does have the money, a rune defender is more useful than a dfs is almost all aspects besides at boss monsters. Also if you are planning on training slayer then go with the helmet and switch to a barrows plate. Torso is a bad choice for slayer because it means you will have lower def which results in faster food consumption.
