February 1, 200917 yr I've only really played FFVIII where I got up to just before the end of the 2nd disc, and FFX where I don't remember where I got up to :? I also played FFXII for like 5 minutes until I got up to the first fight and I didn't really like the combat system :wall:

February 1, 200917 yr i liked final fantsy 10 alot, definitely one of the best ones. final fantasy 12 was very good, and a really good story i thought. i think they went overboard on some of the rare items and boss fights. *yaizmat hint hint* final fantasy 7 was really good but i still havent finished it yet. ff x-2 i thought was really really bad, hardly a story, bad battle system, bad side quest yeah overall pretty bad. I have to agree there. I couldn't even finish X-2 cause it sucked so bad. They should have made it more similar to the first one with a sphere grid or something. The only reason I thought it failed was because except for some boss fights, one almost never had to change the jobs of the 3 girls. Other then that, it was based on the job changing system of III and V. Even in most (if not all) of the boss fights, you wouldn't need to change. 2 Dark Knights backed up by a White Mage destroys pretty much anything. Though maybe a Gunner in the Yellow with Haste and Level 3 Trigger Happy gives a significantly better damage output, if you have the Cat Nip. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

February 11, 200917 yr So I just saw the trailer for FFXIII on the Playstation Store. Downloaded it, watched it. And... Looks to be more a a turn based system. Thank you god. i saw it too and it looks mint, it better be turn based, if 12 was turn based i wouldve kept it, i was liking the story and all that but the fighting system just ruined the whole game thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig
February 11, 200917 yr Considering it was the same team that worked on X, I bet it does have some turn based qualities, but I am pretty sure it has been confirmed that there is some control over the character's movement still given to the player, and is a factor in battle. February 11, 200917 yr Well, from the trailer, we see parts of battles, and they appear to use a system similar to the ATB guage. So  . Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

Then I got the even more cheap: Jecht Shot 2, seriously most overpowered shot ever, 3 defender knockdown with invisible strike. Basically my plan is to just use brother and Tidus to pass the ball back and forth and take a shot with either of them, I don't even need defenders and goal keepers since brother and Tidus have really good tackles lol >.>

Jecht Shot pwns. :thumbsup:Wakka has come through for me more than tidus has. Its really amazing how they went without a win, they have some really good players. It also amazes me how they went through all that time and no one leveled up. Though I guess that is most FF games for you. "cloud beats a level 50 sephiroth, he gains 0 exp." Ahh the mysteries of how that works. Exactly the same as why random birds and wolfs carry around rare items and money. Ponies!
February 14, 200917 yr They were written to have gone without a win. The A.I. can be easy to beat, when you give control of the team a a human player, the majority of the time, they're better than the A.I. Whats more [bleep]ed up is that a level 24 Irvine can be in a party with a level 100 Squall and Level 94 Rinoa and still only gain around 900exp for surviving against Level 100 Monsters. Even if you lose you atleast get a few exp for having the ball. They are suppoed to have gone for 23 years. How do you go for 23 years without having the ball once? I'm still waiting to know how a character can grow strong, and lose all their previous skills in the sequel. I mean I get that Yuna can't summon anymore but why did she lose every single skill I taught her. (I spent so much time in the game I taught everyone every skill and maxed all stats.) This goes past final fantasy but at least in kingdom hearts they did offer an explanation for this. Ponies!
February 14, 200917 yr Let me think of why she lost them... I would guess that when you take up a dress-sphere, you also gain the spirit of the person inside (Lenne anyone?), which usually just confers their skills upon you. Therefore, if the spirit within the dress-sphere couldn't use those skills, then the characters couldn't. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

February 14, 200917 yr I think its the spirits of those who have departed. Lets say that they are like Materia. (Well, lets assume they are materia since its speculated that FFX and FFVII take place on the same world, or it could just be a reference back to VII). Materia are made from the life-stream, are they not? Hence the spirit within them is of one who has deceased. Just like the Aeons were Fayth. That a good enough explanation?
