NO SC HAMMERS, THANKS ::'

Currently I am 54 con.

I need to get to 72 construction for a gilded alter (crystal saw = +3 correct?)

For 72 I will need 1,560 oak larders.

I am bad with calcing plank costs etc etc, I was curious if someone could calc this up for me real quick. I always get the numbers mixed up.

If oak planks are 413 gp each and it takes 8 planks per larder, am I correct to assume that it will take me 5,154,240 gp for 72 con?

Here's my math:

413 * 8 planks = 3,304 gp per larder

3304 * 1,560 larders = 5,154,240 gp total

Is that correct?

Also what is the approximate cost of a Gilded alter + the cheapest burners? Also how much does it cost for a mounted glory assuming I already have the glory?

Thank you very much for any help given.

Again, I will not be wasting my time with getting SC hammers, money can be earned back.. time spent cannot.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

this is the cost of a guilded altar, without burners:

2 marble blocks (650K gp), 2 cloth (1300 gp), 4 gold leaf (520K gp) - shop prices

cheapest burners would be Mahogany burners costing:

4 mahogany planks, 2 steel bars

mounted glory:

3 teak planks, 1 (uncharged) amulet of glory

All in the construction tables, not too hard to check for yourself ;)

you have to MAKE the construction tea in your POH and it cannot be taken out of your home, nor can the ingredients or the instruments used to make/drink it.

You need increasingly better shelves to make better teas (up to +3). You might be better off trying for evil dave's stew and the crystal saw if you want to boost construction. If you have any negative stat effects from the stew, you can balance it out with a stat restore potion (I BELIEVE...don't quote me on that).

you could make it at 69 if you wanted with construction tea for +3 and crystal saw for +3 makeing it +6 according to tip.it guide thay stack it would cut down the costs unless you realy wanted 72

Would I just be able to build the best shelves or do I have to progressively make them?

you will need the best shelves drink it once then youll have 72 (then +3 with saw for 75)

I believe you use the saw to get to the level for the shelves.

Then use the tea and saw to get to the level for the altar.

I got mine at 71

Making gilded tea shelves uses gold leaves, which adds to the price. While you should get gilded shelves if you're half serious about construction, there IS a way to use a friend's tea and not have to make your own.

Simply move your house to the same location as your friend's, go into their house and make tea. Run up to their exit portal and drink one dose. Wait for your con level to drop down by one. As soon as it does, drink another dose and QUICKLY run back to your house and build an altar. Edit: Now that I think of it, your houses don't have to be in the same place, it's a tiny bit faster if they are though.

I'd only advise doing that if you just want the altar in your house. It's alot of hastle to do that for many items in your house.

One last thing - you can try use evil stew to up your level alongside tea and your crystal saw, but I don't recommend it - it's very slow, inconsistant and annoying.

if u you just want a guilded altar for prayertraining, its not worth the effort... u can better chack the rsof for some1 who has a guilded altar and invites pll to train their pray in his house. there are a lot of pll who do this, so finding a house wont be very difficult. otherwise, use spicy stew to cut the cost or get construction tea(the 1 that gives 2 bonus) and train till lvl 70const. it costs less to do 69-70 than making shelves3.
