January 31, 200917 yr Bandos... Spiritual Mages! They have plenty more HP than the other equivalents. Why do you (or at least I) never hear about those being killed? It seems to always be either the Zamorak or Saradomin Spiritual Mages that are killed. I'd understand people not killing the Armadyl ones, since you can only range/mage those, but why not Bandos?

January 31, 200917 yr I always thought it was a matter of the other types of mages having less defense. But maybe I'm wrong.
January 31, 200917 yr Author Maybe, since they don't defy the laws of the triangle and actually wear robes...
January 31, 200917 yr Author Really? No other answers? :(... They're like the only monster that even seems remotely worth killing if you want a high Bandos KC...
January 31, 200917 yr What Bandos item could you possibly wear to get immunity from auto-attacking? Bandos Armour-All are melee armours, thus have a negative mage defense. Which means that if your pray goes out, you're pretty much dead. That's not a big problem though, the main problem is that if you wear the Chestplate or the Tassets, you lose out on the Proselyte there. Thus, making your trip shorter for no reason at all. At Zammy Mages, you can wear a Zamorak Robe Bottom(the red and white one) and get 1 less prayer point than Prossy Legs and get complete immunity from auto attacking. While if you wear bandos, you lose out on a lot of prayer bonuses when you could be fighting easier and for longer at zammy mages. The ancient mace-Not sure if I need to explain. Do you really want to use this over a whip? Zammy Mages are the only realistic thing to kill for exp and Sara Mages for money. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.
January 31, 200917 yr But there's the ooglog pool, isn't there? Not really answering your question. I'm kind-of curious now lol My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

Most people would wear Dragon Boots anyway; you're not too much worse off wearing Bandos Boots. I honestly didn't even consider this to be an issue... Did you just forget or purposely ignore them?
January 31, 200917 yr Are you really going to shell out 855k for a horrible pair of boots to kill Bandos mages when you can keep the 855k and kill Zamorak or Saradomin mages?
January 31, 200917 yr Author Are you really going to shell out 855k for a horrible pair of boots to kill Bandos mages when you can keep the 855k and kill Zamorak or Saradomin mages? I won't think twice about it. That's the most plausible answer I've heard so far, though...
January 31, 200917 yr They wear armour, not robes, making them less effective xp and slower to kill for money.
January 31, 200917 yr High defence. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
January 31, 200917 yr Author That almost stands to reason that you could effectively mage them... 3 levels off (in Slayer) or else I would try it out myself.
January 31, 200917 yr I too have wondered about the merits of killing bandos spiritual mages on slayer task. maybe once you get there, you could give us the news about it? January 31, 200917 yr Author Will do, but it could be a week or two for me to get those Slayer levels... :S
January 31, 200917 yr High defence. Why was there 0 response to this correct answer...? [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
January 31, 200917 yr Author High defence. Why was there 0 response to this correct answer...? That almost stands to reason that you could effectively mage them... 3 levels off (in Slayer) or else I would try it out myself. Just because I didn't quote him, doesn't mean I wasn't responding to him...
January 31, 200917 yr What does maging have to do with defense? Sorry, I'm a bit confused... (no sarcasm) [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
January 31, 200917 yr What does maging have to do with defense? Sorry, I'm a bit confused... (no sarcasm) True. Maging fails in single way combat against monsters; it's expensive and slow, with other, much better ways to train. And their high defence + magic defence makes it even worse. Drops: 1x Draconic Visage, 56x Abyssal Whip, 5x Demon Head, D Drops: 37, Barrows Drops: 43, DK Drops: 29GWD drops: 14,000x Bars, 1x Armadyl Hilt, 2x Armadyl Skirt, 4x Sara Sword, 1x Saradomin Hilt, 8x Bandos Hilt, 8x Bandos Platebody, 9x Bandos Tassets, 4x Bandos Boots, 43x Godsword Shard, 82x Dragon BootsDry streak records: Saradomin 412 kills Bandos 988 kills Spirit Mages 633 kills - Slayer Sucks
January 31, 200917 yr What he's saying is, they have high defense because theyre wearing armor. Armor has a negative magic bonus. So possibly they can be maged? I can't see that as being quick though, unfortunately Do you hate Wyverns or Warped Terrorbirds? Think again! Misunderstood Monsters!Want to become a Champion of Champions like I once was? January 31, 200917 yr Author I killed it in about 10 hits... Spells splash a lot less than on something like, say, metal dragons. This is definitely not the best way, but there is some potential. I'm going to try Ranged next (also with Void). --> Ranged is no-where near effective; this can be told from a very small sample. I feel that Ahrim's and use of a cheaper spell are in order.
