ok im going for 99 hunter and i have decided on what armor im going to use but im a little confused about what weapon i should get.Me and one of my friends were arguging about the Godsword vs. the Whip and dds when training combat, of course i was for the whip+dds while he supported the godsword so im not stuck with a delimma. which to get the Bandos Godsword or the Whip and a DDS.

 

 

 

heres the equipment im going to be using:

 

Helm of Neitiznot

 

Bandos Chestplate

 

Dragon Platelegs

 

Hunter Skillcape/Fishing Skillcape(ill get both before i buy my armor)

 

Dragon Boots

 

Zerker ring/Ring of Wealth

 

Barrows Gloves

 

(if whip) Dragon sq shield or Toktz-ket-xil

 

Amulet of fury

unless your boss hunting

Off topic, but how does this apply to getting 99 hunter?

Attack and defence training - Whip + defender/DFS and dds.

 

Strenght training - SS.

 

 

 

GS are just good to boss hunt, for training they are slower then SS, also costs bunch more.

you don't need armour or weapons for hunting -.-

 

 

 

but anyway I think Whip+dds (or I use enhanced excalibur as it boosts defence almost as much as super defence pot and heals 16hp) is better, as it hits twice as often as the godswords, of course annoying thing about whip is that you can only train attack defence or controlled, so personally I always just fight controlled so I get strength exp as well.

it has nothing to do with getting 99 hunter thats not what the topic is about after i get 99 hunter/fish i want to know which is better the Gs or the Whip+dds..i already know how im getting to 99 hunter/fish

He's right, Rune defenders are even better than DFS while training. And d legs sucks, use Verac's/torags. Don't worry, it should only cost 1-2k/hour training if you're just using legs.

The Falador Shield 3 gives like 8 more defence bonus than the defender. It's a terrible shield.

 

 

 

Go with the whip + defender, and dds for specing. Or, also get a SGS and use it to heal, but continue to train with the whip.

whip is way better even without dds for spec but...

 

godsword is awesome for gwd espescialy bandos as it takes there def away with spec

Did like 80-93 using D scim. I got like 93-99 strength slaying with a GS it wasn't that slow. So you could use a GS if you wanted.

 

 

 

But yeah whip + defender is your best bet though.

Get the whip for Attack/Defence training.

 

Use an SS for the Strenght one ^^
