Is it any good? It's technical as ever and more much more progressive, but the concept is just bad and "The Czar" is boring imo. Still a pretty good album, not as good as Leviathan though.

April 6, 200917 yr Five Finger Death Punch. /thread. It's an interesting mix of Groove metal and that sniff of Thrash and hardcore... Isn't it? They've toured with Devildriver and Ill Nino, I think they're pretty neat. Saw them in holland a few weeks ago. Gud stuff : ;>

I always thought they are pretty interesting band (I only heard Leviathan and Blood Mountain), something else than what I am used to, but as said earlier: I don't know much about metal.They're not bad, but I never really got into them. I found it a bit awkward to listen to more 'straight-up' sludge metal after dipping into Neurosis, Isis, Cult of Luna and Callisto; and because I listened to these bands that combined sludge with post-rock and ambient music, Mastodon simply felt a little bare in comparison.
