Your friend isn't one of those people that watch anime all day, dress up like what stereotypes say "Japanese" people look like, and such is he? :? I'll admit, though, I do like the rhythms found in many j-pop songs. I don't really delve into that genre (sub-genre?) of music all that much. It's nice to listen to when you feel you just need to vent your anger about something wrong in the world. It's really very empowering and a great way of expression. But, I don't much care for the ones that just say, you know, "life sucks", "I hate this world", etc.
