So, this friday i was pking in pvp worlds in full vestas for funzies and i was COMPLETELY owning everyone that dm'd me.

 

 

 

here's one example, i was fighting someone in full rune with an AGS, i hit a bunch on her and she hit one 15 on me i think. and that only took the bit of brew i sipped before the fight off.

 

 

 

that and i fought someone a bit lower than me in full bandos/ags and i killed him in 3 hits.

 

 

 

and as i speak, i cannot buy full vestas for a spare set at the moment in the GE for max. i got top, but no skirt.

 

 

 

so, do you think this might be a sign that more pkers are moving to pvp armour?

 

 

 

i know i will every so often, but my friend kingmage92 was in full dharoks up against someone in full statius with a BGS.

 

 

 

also, not to mention the fact that the risked wealth of pvp armour is INSANE.

im not 100% sure if this is acctually added to your DP, but ive died with full morrigans on which gave me 9m risked when i was skulled and i died with it and didnt get much for a drop, but a friend of mine got a mages book after suiciding with a morrigans chaps on.

and the armour does not degrade when it's out of combat if you buy the regular armour.

 

 

 

the corrupt versions degrade no matter if what if your in combat or just sitting around.

I have a feeling that Vesta is being merchanted. The armor is still too expensive to be practical to use in PvP. The weapons can last a long time by just using them for specials, but armor, not so much. I think that 200k a piece is a good price for the armor.

 

 

 

But yes, it's awesome. When in Statius armor, you don't even need to constantly have prayer up to guard against D clawers. They will hit 0-1 about 95% of the time, especially if you use a shield, too.

but if you really dont believe me, go buy a morrigans coif, REGULAR, not corrupted and go degrade it in combat and then check wealth held/lost. it goes from 144k GE price to 1m

Of course its useful and if this was the old wilderness where you actually got everything your opponent had then it would be worth using. However, theres no reassurance of getting good drops from kills.

I just bought a set of chainbody and chainskirt. Statius helmet still hasnt bought.

And yes PVP Armour helps ALOT there was a recent Pure Pk Video where Bonesaw Pk Hit a 42 With a Whip and 38 With a DDS Beating the normal 34 with DDS and 39.

Dieing for it counts as 0 gp, as when you die for it it is DESTROYED on drop. Proof? Theres no drop option, only destroy.

 

 

 

Friend also died with 2 degraded statius hammers that he got off me. I got bronze arrows and cakes. I died to him after, he had NO compensation. Meh, statius hammers fail anyways.

Mith lords have been usng the corrupt versions of them for ages. More defence bonuses than barrows armour at 20 defence and great strength bonuses.

You may be thinking of corrupt dragon items, which I belive are 30 minutes.

My defence level isn't high enough to wear corrupt armour so I don't have much knowledge about wielding it. Only about how much it owns :thumbup:

Pvp armor has and always be incredibly useful armor for it's insane bonuses. But economical? Depends on price fluctuations. If I'm not mistaken, Morrigan's items are around 200kish and they're actually starting to get bought. People are finally seeing their price as in the "worth every penny" stage. I'm sure if every pvp armor piece was under 400k in price, we'd see a HELL of a lot more statius/vesta pkers.

Yeah, PvP armours are actually economically useful now. As for me, all 10 sets of vesta from 1.3m-1.7m costs ended up GIVING ME PROFIT from claw rushing. And this info I think has been getting around, so I think more people are starting to buy it.

 

 

 

PvP armours are GODLY. Amazing defence bonuses, attack bonuses, and str bonuses. The only thing you could wish for more of is prayer bonus. The price tags for the armours are so worth it. Also...

 

 

 

PvP weapons, you have no idea. Statius Warhammer is sucky at higher levels. But for higher levels, VLS seriously wtfpwn's everything in its path. 90% of the people I pulled it out on either died, prayed, or teled. Zuriel's staff is quite fun, plus you can use the miasmic barrage as a blitz. Morrigan Javs are pretty fun (though they're the perfect weapon to trigger a ring of life >.>) and Morrigan's Axes own as I understand. Vesta's Spear still fails, it doesn't hit much of anything with spec but its half decent.

I have a query. I have owned a set of vesta + statius helm for quite some time now, having got it all as pvp drops and deciding it was perfect for a skilling outfit. I have noticed that the alch value for these items is also fairly high (vesta chain being 300kgp). I wonder if you can alch these items AFTER they have started degrading, as obviously this would massively reduce the amount you end up spending on the armour. Id appreciate if anyone can clear this up.
