March 23, 200917 yr I have a query. I have owned a set of vesta + statius helm for quite some time now, having got it all as pvp drops and deciding it was perfect for a skilling outfit. I have noticed that the alch value for these items is also fairly high (vesta chain being 300kgp). I wonder if you can alch these items AFTER they have started degrading, as obviously this would massively reduce the amount you end up spending on the armour. Id appreciate if anyone can clear this up.My degrading, corrupted Morrigan's top, with 1 minute to go, turned to 45K or around there with an alchemy spell. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

I was thinking about it but its VERY hard to figure out how much is left on it. Honestly, I think they should just give you DP back for its alch value when it degrades or when you die for it. Would make sense imo. Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system Brawler guide is being finished!

March 23, 200917 yr Do the full versions of it start degrading as soon as you have entered combat, or do they degrade like barrows? Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
March 23, 200917 yr I thought it was 30 minutes, and I can't see them having much love for skilling. Corrupt pvp stuff is 15 minutes, full pvp stuff is 1 hour. You may be thinking of corrupt dragon items, which I belive are 30 minutes. To quote Mod Raven off RSOF Corrupt dragon equipment has the same stats as normal dragon equipment, however each item is severely damaged. As such you will only be able to wear these for 30 minutes before they crumble to dust. Corrupt pvp armor/weapons (vesta, Zurial, etc) are 15 minutes, Corrupt Dragon is 30. I should have been more specific.

Okay for those that don't know how the pvp items work: Corrupt items degrade when worn, as soon as they are worn. It's checked to see if you are wearing a corrupt item every 10-15 seconds I think. Don't take my word for this cause I don't have much experience at all with this. Normal items degrade in combat, and then its like barrows in a way -- but if you are in combat and the item is in your inventory, it still keeps degrading. The only time it doesn't degrade is when you are either not in combat or it is not in your inventory. Yes, you can wear it and it won't keep degrading. March 23, 200917 yr PVP armours can give people massive advantages, or just a plain awsome skilling outfit. I choose to use it for the latter.
March 23, 200917 yr it depends on what armor you are PKing with... Excuses are tools of incompetence that builds monuments of nothingness. Those who specialize in excuses never accomplish anything. If the world does end on December 21, 2012, I want to be doing hot stuff with Megan Fox and/or playing Runescape :D

March 23, 200917 yr So if I go into combat with pvp, put on rune while I'm in combat, it continues to degrade? Only if its corrupt. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
March 24, 200917 yr [yt]SgDaGpzhboM[/yt] My vesta armour pk vid.. It's mad, I also use PvP armour at FFA bosses like bandos and corp beast.
March 24, 200917 yr I'll be blunt here - I'm no PvPer, but for 1.3-3.3M, you can have a set of armor that surpasses most Barrows equipment in every way, and it looks cool while doing it. So long as I don't run into a random that actually attacks me (and I seriously doubt I will), I've found my new Smithing outfit. :P It's great armor, [relatively] affordable, and gives impressive combat bonuses. Why isn't this stuff more popular than the norm on PvP worlds? Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.
March 24, 200917 yr Author Why the hell would you want to look good in a game, nobody cares about it. because i like my character to have a unique look that isnt the norm. aka full bandos with ags/fire cape etc etc instead ive got full vestas with ags etc etc retired 12-31-09

March 24, 200917 yr I also use PvP armour at FFA bosses like bandos and corp beast. So thats why I can't ever find the Corp world. Cause SS has to keep hopping from people like you. So if I go into combat with pvp, put on rune while I'm in combat, it continues to degrade? Only if its corrupt. Wrong, if its normal pvp armour and you have rune on with the pvp armour in your inventory and you are in combat, it will still degrade. This piques my interest - and probably explains why all my drops are trash now -.- In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

This piques my interest - and probably explains why all my drops are trash now -.- Basically, hotzone time previously capped you off at 1-3 kills, for like people 20-80 it was 1, 80-110 was like 2, and higher was 3. Thats just guesses but I know it worked like that by levels. And well, that was kinda annoying, wasn't supposed to happen. You were supposed to get more kills as you got more hotzone, and a max of 5 from hotzone. Also, someone was getting 15 kills for 1 hour of hotzone for some reason, so that had to be fixed too. Now its a total max of 5. Compensation, hotzone, etc all combined will only max you 5 kills. I'm still working to figure out how exactly this new system works. It was apparently all an arithmetic error... But at least pures can get more than 1 kill on high at a time now. Cause seriously, pure pking was going to crap.
