Kaida23
What ad are you all getting to cause all this trouble? Also, what web browser are you using? I just opened the RuneScape main page with both Firefox and Internet Explorer and got the same banner ad each time (something about checking my credit score). No overlap or expansion across any other part of the page, even when I moved my mouse over it. The ad stayed right in the rectangle between the title banner and the navigation tabs. Edit: I just saw the pic sees_all1 posted while I was writing my post. I agree that would be *really* annoying. I'm glad I've never gotten that. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

Mike_Ike111
Please quit, your kind isn't needed if you are going to complain about 2 seconds of your life wasted. I bet you spend more time clicking tip.it and complaining about it than just waiting a second. You only need to go on the rs homepage once. Esu
Please quit, your kind isn't needed if you are going to complain about 2 seconds of your life wasted. I bet you spend more time clicking tip.it and complaining about it than just waiting a second. You only need to go on the rs homepage once. It actually ends up being more than two seconds because the Ad covers the "Click here to play" button, so you have to close the page it opens. It's not a necessary ad, and it's extremely frustrating at times. :wall:

Theoknight2
its a specific ad thats the problem. Its the stupid commercial for the new X-Men Movie. I hate ads like that, they used to just be mouseover, but now they can go outside the ad box without it. BS inorite?

XxTearGodxX
To the people saying to use firefox, why should people have to change their browser because of Jagex's new ads? http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/switch

Better yet, stop being rude, just because its the internet and you feel mighty. Its a valid complaint, and appears others agree. Makoto_the_Phoenix
To begin with, not everyone that hits RuneScape.com pays for their services, so ads will appear there always. Second, you should look into actually reporting the advertisement (there should be a ? near the advertisement's box, towards the top) instead of bellyaching. Lastly, you definitely should consider changing your browser - it isn't like you'll be losing anything by moving from IE to Firefox... I'll be honest. When I first read this, it was so funny to me. Looking through it now...not so funny. There are other avenues for you to resolve this problem (Adblocker? What adblocker?), notwithstanding actually FILING A COMPLAINT. Get 'er dun. Myweponsg00d
as i would say in another game QQ (short for quit complaining) Quoted for untruth. Way to attempt to use internet lingo to look cool, EXPLAIN in long words after attempting to use an "acronym", and then get the "meaning" of the "acronym" wrong. Ever notice that Quit Complaining would be QC? Did that ever clue you in? Besides the fact that you got the meaning completely wrong, PWUAAOTATEIA (people who use an acronym one time and then explain it anyway) have something missing in their head. Why use an acronym once and then write it out in words? Do you think it makes you part of the cool crowd? If so then you definitely fit in by getting the meaning completely wrong. QQ is not an acronym or a word, it is an emote. Need assistance in any of these skills? PM me in game, my private chat is always ON
