Video interviews with various Jagex workers

Icould.com has released 7 interviews with various Jagex staff, from Henrique Olifiers, who has been working on Mechscape, to Funorb artists, to a RuneScape producer.

They can all be found here: http://www.icould.com/index.php?option=com_seyret&task=searchvideos&Itemid=171&searchkey=IT%20and%20Telecoms&from=30

Everyone on that page is a Jagex worker minus the top one.

They are all from february, but I haven't seen anyone post them on here so....enjoy!

(Just realized something, the videos were added February 10. 2008)

Now, if only Jagex had given us some sort of link to these videos (which I am sure they had to known interviews were being taken place) we would not have needed that first development diary. These are so much more interesting and involve a lot more depth.

Knowing who we should appraise when something comes out helps a lot instead of just saying "good job Jagex".

Thank you for the find Amundogus2. Here have a cabbage

Am I the only one that was painstakingly trying to find clues to future releases from the computer screens? :?

Definately interesting though because I'm going into Computer Science and that. And totally doesn't dream of working at Jagex one day.

Wait... February 10th 2008? That was before Funorb and Runescape HD. Why do they show pictures of them in the background? They show Funorb with Pool being advertised, and it couldn't possibly have been done before Funorb even came out?!

February 2009 I believe? I think the guy above mistyped...

EDIT: Actually, you're right.... it does say 2008 on the site. Must be a mistake seeing as they show HD footage and the trailer in the background.

I'm sorry, but these guys look like complete losers haha. Gelled hair that was cool about 8 years ago and plenty of pimples in their 20s. Glad these are the guys that make my game.

What? You would rather have a group of 'gangsta homies' making your game?

Yeah, because that's what I said.

I just figured that some people that weren't "sit in my basement and watch anime" would be making a game like this. These guys don't even seem that intelligent. Most of them have degrees in "business" and being a college student myself, I know how hard it is to get such a prestigious Business Degree.

There's jack [cabbage] wrong with gelled hair. Lots of people still do it. :|

That statement says much more about you than it does them. Grow up.

There was a great quote I once heard:

"Hair-gel is only used to identify douche-bags from a distance"

One of them lived in his basement for 6 months being unemployed and supported by his girlfriend because he didn't want to go get a real job because of his "love for video games". Another was hospitalized and when he was told that he might lose function of his right arm, his first thought was that he "wouldn't be able to play his Xbox" and that he would "have to learn to play video games with his feet".

Honestly some of the most pathetic crap I've ever heard in my life. I feel sorry for anyone who devotes that much time to a video game.

I must say I somewhat agree about people who take videogames too seriously. But don't categorise someone for how they style their hair, it's ridiculous lol.

Actually there's a lot you can tell about a person by their choice in clothing and hair styles. I've never met someone with gelled hair who wasn't a douche-bag in some form or fashion.

Damnit, I tripped over Magzar's half inflated blow-up doll and hurt myself. I wish he wouldn't leave that thing lying around. -.-

Maybe they were just trying to look good for the camera? :)

Am I the only one who is irritated by the amount of "old film" screenwipes that they keep using every other shot? What is this, the early nineties?

Also, I guess that's why we're not getting much lately.....darn soccer videogames and foosball table.
