Silver_Corner
I think I figured out what the Syzygy is! \ In the aforementioned thread on the RSOF (QFC - 16-17-565-58475705) there is a quote from General Khazard that they mention upon. "The planets are nearing alignment; we will meet in the place of half light and ice soon. Beware of the others, for though they are weak and few, they are cunning." ~The message that Khazard asks you to tell his Scouts in the Shadow Sword quest. They also heavily reference upon a "ritual". Now, from what I've read, Syzygy is an alignment of planets, yes? And Khazard says that the planets are aligning, yes? So perhaps, this syzygy thing will be heavily involved with the rebirth of the Mahjarrat. As for the "scopes," there are three main scopes to think of: WOM's telescope, and house telescope, but those two don't seem substantial enough to be of import to it. The Observatory, however, is a whole different matter. Not only does the Observatory quest teach us a bit about the months, which are heavily mentioned in the letter, observatories are used to observe planets, correct? So perhaps the observatory is of importance. I highly recommend looking at the RSOF post I mentioned and cross-reference it with the information here. This seems to cross over far too much to just be coincident. I'd say you're right. I don't see why people have any interest in the wise old man's telescope. No one ever mentions the random telescope on the balcony in varrock. Then people assume that since it's facing south it must be looking at the wizard's tower. has anyone here stopped to think maybe that telescope is a decoration, like the one in varrock, likely to be found in any study, anywhere. Stupid rumors from stupid ideas. -.- besides if the wise old man wanted to spy on somewhere he'd likely do it by magic. the telescope is probably just for stargazing. I'd say it's probably more associated with scopes in out POH, or the observatory. Well... hmm. Not saying your *wrong* or anything, but before you so easily dismiss evidence, I think maybe you should go into the WOM's house and look through the telescope? Just a thought, since unlike normal decorations, there is a view option on it. I have listed below what you see in it, put inside hide tags if your to lazy to go see the telescope yourself. [hide=]If you look into the Wise Old Man's telescope at his house, it shows a live window pointed directly at the Wizards Tower. If someone is standing at the tower, and you look through the telescope, you can actually SEE them from the Wise old Mans house. Pretty cool huh? Also when you ask him about the telescope and where its pointed, he gives a shifty answer and immediately changes the subject refusing to answer. That is why people have an interest in the scope.[/hide]

Now it's pointed at the Wizard's Tower, and in one of his books, he mentions something about needing runes. Not only that, he seems to hate aiding the Mahjarrat in any way. Although, with the post I mentioned before, there is the theory of Mahjarrat lifeforce being around magic, so this is a possibility, albeit tenuous. I still don't really believe the WOM has anything to do with it... :| _______________________________________*Insert witty remark here*
Aeon_
"muspah" could be some reference to Zaros who is known to be trapped somewhere in Runescape, possibly the frozen north? this could be referring to a quest where followers of saradomin wake Zaros to try and rid the world of Zamorak with you making the choice of waking him or not? hey just brainstorming :wall: that'd be pretty neat  Although, why in the world would saradominist want to wake up zaros...(even if its to wake up zamorak, wouldn't it be better to wake up say Guthix, or call saradomin himself?) Maybe Saradomin wants to kill Zaros? Steal his power maybe? I just had this random idea. 'red raktuber'. There is a tuber in the game(gout tuber) which is a seed. Seeds on RS are usually round, spherical... an orb. The Stone of Jas is an orb/sphere. The rak bit could be Zamorak shortened. Maybe Zamorak coming full on back to Gielnor? And red is a colour normally associated with blood. War? Battle for something? My conclusion for my thoughts is that Zamorak or another god(s) is going to war for the Stone of Jas. Probably not right as the names were invented way before WGS... but hey. There's always the chance. : Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber

Nenga
To conclude: Fairy dictator attacks royal, yet The avatar liberates everyone? FREE! This line is odd. It's clear that it is a reference to the fairy tale series. Though the avatar might mean a second match with bandos. The royal means the queen and the fairy dictator is the godfather. das
avatars typically are a reference to your character in mmo's. As for the ramblings, It's looking like something lucien/majarat related. Postbag 36. "Muspah, famous, sleeps with the fishies, if fishies frozen could be. That's where the shadows are shadowed, and even the delvers don't dare." Guthix Has mentioned an underwater city, I dont think he would refer to himself in third person. As far as delvers. Runewiki gave me this interesting summary. Sliske is a Mahjarrat loyal to Zaros who disappeared into hiding during the God Wars.[1] Azzanadra describes him as "Sliske the serpent-tongued, who delves the shadows So Sliske, a majarahtt, is scared of this place - why would he fear another god, and not his own - whom he ran away from Going forward "Wake the muspah. Don't wake the muspah!" Seems logical that he is a famous guy, who is not among the active living currently. Zaros fits the bill. I'd certainly like to see it. "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."Abraham Lincoln

Beethovens29
This is a recap of some of the confirmed (sorta) theorys posted in the 6 previous pages of posts that will 99% show up in the near future. Fay autocrat impugns royal, yet The avatar liberates everyone? *ahem*...not only does "fay autocrat impugns royal" translate to "fairy dictator attacks royal", just look at it clearly and in a non cryptic manner and u can see that the first letter of each word says FAIRY TALE. Fay Autocrat Impugns Royal Yet The Avatar Liberates Everyone - ok, Fairy Tale Part 3 *confirmed The Red Raktuber flies at midnight. (Well, maybe not 'flies'.) Regardless, I'm about to descend into a ventricle of darkness, and I don't know which hat to wear: swordfish, octopus, lobster? its pretty much almost a clear hint to either cold war, or something with underwater mogres. Red Raktuber is probably a reference to the Red October which was a russian submarine used in THE COLD WAR. and the fact that it states "flies at midnight. (Well, maybe not 'flies')" is almost a clear reference to penguins. the hats might refer to the underwater mogres u meet in rfd pirate pete part. Cold War *90% confirmed "Wake the muspah. Don't wake the muspah!" - and that's just the first of them! Syzygy nearing: Ritual too. Watch those scopes and learn what you can before it occurs. Ralvash was last, who is next? Me? You? No, we're not one of them. this one seems that a lot of ppl r still debating on what it means, but a lot of ppl r certain that its refering to the Majharatt. people r debating that muspah means leader. and that this "quest" will hav to do with a sacrifice in in a ritual Majharatt *semi - confirmed Now, where are those keys? Ah yes, the keys are left of Mr E Frdrty Wirdy and Mr E Utwrwir Wirdy. What a curious village. this one is basically a dead give away.... Ne W Desert Quest and Ne W Yrqeque Quest. "What a curious village." still remains cryptic. so far, we're unsure of what that phrase is pertaining to, or what its trying to say. Desert Quest *confirmed Myreque Quest *confirmed Sheds are heavy; Sirrah is dead this one is still being thought about. ppl are reffering to "sirrah" as something that has to do with the white knights. and sheds is still being debated between shedding tears or blood. and others think shed is refering to the shed to get to zanaris White Knight Quest *10% on its way to possibly almost becoming plausible

Another theory: What if by scopes it is a reference to the real life trial of John Scopes about teaching evolution in school. If this is the case maybe it's saying a mahjarrat will evolve, maybe to godhood. What if the sacrifice isn't the weak one, but the strong one? Mahjarrat sacrifice the strongest mahjarrat so they can go join the gods, in turn that mahjarrat helps the mahjarrat still alive. That could explain while lucien was trying to get the stone of jas and the staff of armadyl. I'm guessing maybe they'd have to fight the gods so only the strongest gets to go.
