Koo
Hey folks! First of all sorry if this is in the wrong forum >_< please just move it if it is. Okay so the story is... I aint touched Runescape in a few years and I had a level 80 something. He was F2P for a very long time and a member for a short while. I did a few easy member quests, caste wars, nothing much really. However if I do start again then I wanna make a new account for a fresh start, and to get used to all the newbie stuff. If I do decide to start playing again I will most likely buy membership straight away at level 3 to keep myself from getting bored (lots of member stuff to do) and to keep myself dedicated since im paying for it after all. I don't care if the odd guy comes along saying "LOLZ LVL 10 MEMBER GTFO n00b" I will just laugh and ignore them. So why am I even thinking about playing again? Well after I stopped playing Runescape I played a lot of WoW and Guild Wars. I now describe WoW as a "dead cow being milked" the game has been horrible since the first expansion and Blizzard are still sucking money out of it. Guild Wars was really good back in the day but now it's pretty much dead. If you happen to be looking for a new MMO I would recommend Eve or Guild Wars. I also have lots of free time at the moment and playing counter strike is getting boring. Runescape just popped into my head so I decided to check it out. The new graphics look amazing my computer will be able to run it no problem (I learned how to build my own I would really recommend it for anyone who's thinking of getting a new computer - it saves tons of money) Jagex themselves look like a really good company from what I've seen (lots of feedback etc) compared to Blizzard... They are not as good imo :\ I'm also having a hard time thinking of an account name so any recommendations are appreciated =D edit - he is called Blade Combo :] Thanks for you time  ^dds'er in progress =D
Me_Hate_Libs
I would definitely give it a shot. I mean honestly the only thing you have to lose is a few hours and a couple of bucks should you not like it. -edit- If it fits, you gotta do KooKooKachu as your name. Racheya
I don't know about getting members straight away since I think it's a bit of a waste of money at first - once you're a bit into F2P then get members, though it is awesome so maybe you shouldn't wait. I think you should come back. Things have changed - and they're changing still under Mod MMG's command, especially now Jagex is communicating with the players a whole lot more. :) I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. langer
Yeah, definitely give it a shot, only you can judge if it's worth it or not. Just be prepared to be faced with a trade limit and the the new pvp (wilderness removal and introduction of pvp world). The Grand Exchange can either be a time saver or a pain in the neck, depending on how you view it. Leveling a new character straight into members is really a very good idea. Have fun! Koo
I would definitely give it a shot. I mean honestly the only thing you have to lose is a few hours and a couple of bucks should you not like it. Thanks for the quick reply I have a strong feeling I will enjoy the game. The main reason I stopped playing was because I couldn't afford membership (yeah i was a poor 13 year old :P) but now I have enough money and I wanna give it a go. When I was a member they were the best gaming moments of my life I don't know about getting members straight away since I think it's a bit of a waste of money at first - once you're a bit into F2P then get members, though it is awesome so maybe you shouldn't wait. It could end up being a waste of money but tbh I wasted more money on WoW then anything else so i wont be sad about loosing £4.50 =P The only way I can see myself enjoying this game is by being a member since I have spent so much time being a non member it will become boring. Name: I am Koo/I am Mr Koo? Thanks for the suggestion but I dont want it to do anything with koo :P something new. I was thinking maybe a word like Dragon or Blade with 123 at the end or whatever. I dunno im just brain storming lol Yeah, definitely give it a shot, only you can judge if it's worth it or not. Yeah I heard about all of that stuff and it doesn't affect me because pvp wasn't really my thing and its for the greater good really. I am excited to try out the GE because the days of world 1 west varrock bank was a pain to sell stuff because of all the people spamming. Edit - I made an account called Blade Combo... im surprised it wasn't taken :anxious: hit me up anytime if u want :) im also gonna hang out in forsakenmage cause I heard its the unofficial tip it clan chat ^dds'er in progress =D

northerner
I recently did the same a few months ago. Bored, with nothing to do on week nights, so I got my membership back again. But in all honesty the game isn't half as good as it was. I personally blame real world traders forcing jagex to remove the wild thus making the game worse. Also I came back as a level 110. Level 110 when I quit was considered a decent level, especially having 92 hp meant that my account had been trained properly. Now I'm probably low level with the release of summoning (IDK what the hell it is or how to train it TBH) And i have no idea what any of the new equipment is/does and I have no intention of finding out. But I can still play, not half as obsessively as I used to, but I can still spend an hour or 2 a night on RS. I'd recommend that you carry on with your old account, I considered making a level 3 with a better name. But I decided what's the point? In 6 months time you'll probably regret starting from scratch and think "my account could be level 100" or whatever.

Myweponsg00d
If you think WoW is beating a dead horse then don't play runescape. RS seems more varied at first, but once you get to be high level the variety completely drops off and there is very little content that is appropriate for your level. Need assistance in any of these skills? PM me in game, my private chat is always ON

Punitive_D
If you think WoW is beating a dead horse then don't play runescape. RS seems more varied at first, but once you get to be high level the variety completely drops off and there is very little content that is appropriate for your level. This high level whining is fairly common and understandable. After all, all of the many aspects of Runescape that are challenging to most of us would not be a challenge for a high level player. That really is inevitable, though. Most players are not high level; therefore, most of the content must be pitched lower. Also, I think that much of the whining is not justified. It seems to me that there still should be plenty to entertain. First, and foremost, my plan is that if I ever max my combat stats, it will be time to get much more involved in pvp. Runescape provides a wide (and growing) variety of pvp situations. The high level player who complains that nothing challenges him is either willfully ignorant, lying, bragging, or some combination of those. For any high levels out there who say that nothing challenges you in Runescape, feel free to contact me and I'll try to put you in touch with some people on my friend list who will be more than happy to kick your butt and take your stuff. That ought to breath new life into your game experience.

Diceydee
Well firstly, i'll say welcome back. I was in the same boat as you, i left to play both guildwars and WoW. But lo and behold im back to runescape. Its the never ending choice of things to do that draws me back. Dont feel like killing stuff (as you are FORCED to in both WoW and Guildwars) Then there is plenty of fun and interesting skills to do. Im sure you'll love the time you spend back to the ol' Runescape, if not, its cheap compared to most other MMORPGS so who cares? I'll part with a Good luck, and if you need a kick in the right direction, send me (or any of the other TIFer's) A quick PM, im sure we'd be glad to help.
