PoorLepRecon
Thanks KC for actually going on topic unlike everyone else. Does seem like a decent game, for the wii. Hoping that it could have original controller controls though. Like classic or gc. It will be a great game for the Wii. I may go out and buy it just to support developers who are actually making an effort to make quality games on the Wii. It is an original title, not some jipped port (I'm looking at you Treyarch). It will probably be among the Wii's best titles. Forum Updates & Suggestions <------ Let your voice be heard!Forum Games <------- Coolest place on Tip.ItTip.It Forum Rules <------- Read them! Nom
First-person shooters work great on the Wii. Boo, you have to concentrate more to hold a controller steady. So what? I don't think there's anyone who doesn't realize that the system is constantly getting screwed by half-assed third party titles that are the source of many of the problems with Wii FPS's. The Conduit looks great and is from a brand new developer that is actually aiming for the definitive Wii FPS. So if anything, people should be celebrating, not ripping on it. Really. Metroid Prime 3 already proved that an FPS -- or at least aspects of one -- can work. But it doesn't seem like anyone has tried too hard until now. (I haven't played WaW or Medal of Honor so I don't know if they're any good with the controls. I've heard they were pretty decent.)

After not missing out on anything really exciting for months, the Wii is getting hit with tons of great games coming up. The developers are finally starting to pump out quality games, and everyone is beginning to wish they could play them. I haven't played WaW, but Medal of Honor has great controls (unless you can't find the sweet-spot on your sensor bar) that make sense for a Wii Fps. Think about - for a FPS, Left analog = move = nunchuck analog, Right analog stick = aim = Wii pointer. There's only 2 buttons or so that have to be made up for. And I can't wait for the quality games coming to the Wii =D Can't play the ones I'm looking at though (specifically Silent Hill (or RE4 to a lesser extent)) Gonna get the Conduit though

People just think the wii is for kid games and third party 15+ games. No no no. Anyway, the aus release date was said to be somewhere in july on some forum, its a rumour though. I dont need a siggy no moar.

Chaosxreigns
Really looking forward to this. Probably the most I've looked forward to a game since Rock Band 2 in December. Only 13 more days! \

Maze
The Wii needs to stay out of mainstream gaming. It shouldn't be competing with other consoles, it should be staying graciously behind. The whole point of the Wii on release was to just sit back and make a varied set of fun little mini games. Noone can deny that Wii Bowling was awesome. FPS + Wii = Bad. Even the railshooters. There was one good third person shooter, the Zelda thing, that's the kind of thing Wii should do, just short little things. Oh, okay Nintendo, cancel every FPS you were thinking of making - our game expert has spoken. They really should. Nintendo has never, I repeat, NEVER, had a good FPS, so thanks for agreeing. Good FPS's Nintendo has made: -Goldeneye -Perfect Dark -Metroid Prime series (more of an adventure game than a shooter, but still a shooter)

wild_goat_14
Anyone bought this yet? I'm buying it next Monday. I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. Chaosxreigns
Yeah, the game is pretty good. Campaign mode is lacking (much like Halo, imo), but makes up for it with great multiplayer. There aren't very many maps, but there are quite a few combinations of game modes to choose from.

PoorLepRecon
I might pick it up if I can get it at a discounted price. It's not worth the $50 to me. TheValeyard
Probably because you get a lot more for your money with Xbox 360 games. Wii games are normally a bit cheaper though.
RayOxide
No, you dont really. Wii Games are made for the right audience. This however I dont get how it is, where you may be right. Just because say, you might not like the replay value of a few games on the Wii because its not your kind doesnt mean you have to flame it everywhere you can. I dont care what you say you "hate the wii for" it's all because of jealousy, there's no other damn reason dude, now [bleep] off. I dont need a siggy no moar. TheValeyard
Why would I be jealous of the Wii when I have one? And for the record I don't hate it I just recognise it as not being a mainstream console.
RayOxide
Because it outsold the 2 consoles you actually think are better? And saying the wii doesnt deserve good recognition is a load of [cabbage], dude, ever since you came here for some reason the VG&C board has been filled with crap. Not being a mainstream console? LOL. Once again its like the only thing you could say just because Nintendo own the gaming world atm? Sure if Sony put some more effort into their consoles, as should Xbox maybe Nintendo wouldnt rape the gaming world so much. EDIT: Seriously dude stop finding a thread you can flame the wii in, and if you want to do it [bleep] off and PM me or someone else so you dont just get random post count, cause a huge commotion in a thread that shouldnt be filled with crap or you could just get over yourself, stop crying as how the Wii is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GENRE to the stuff you like (Hi FPS) and shut the [bleep] up. I dont need a siggy no moar.
TheValeyard
Because it outsold the 2 consoles you actually think are better? Sales mean nothing. And saying the wii doesnt deserve good recognition is a load of [cabbage], I never said that. I just said it should be recognised for what it is. Not being a mainstream console? LOL. Once again its like the only thing you could say just because Nintendo own the gaming world atm? Sure if Sony put some more effort into their consoles, as should Xbox maybe Nintendo wouldnt rape the gaming world so much You do realise that Sony and Microsoft put a hell of a lot more effort into their consoles than Nintendo right? Nintendo now know that the Wii will sell whatever happens so they don't need to do anything. Even Sony are putting a ton of effort into the PS3 even though they are struggling. RayOxide
Sales mean nothing. Exactly my point. Your 'merit' argument is pointless and there's no reason to spam up threads with how you dislike the wii for it's "un-mainstream like gaming" I never said that. I just said it should be recognised for what it is. A console. A console that is more popular than the Xbox which has had people buy 2 or more due to fail. Not that it matters. So overall a Wii should be recognised for being.. The more popular of the 3 consoles, and best marketted console too? You do realise that Sony and Microsoft put a hell of a lot more effort into their consoles than Nintendo right? Nintendo now know that the Wii will sell whatever happens so they don't need to do anything. Even Sony are putting a ton of effort into the PS3 even though they are struggling. Nintendo focus on their Consoles alot more than Sony and Microsoft/etc do before it comes out. Sony only work on theirs because they failed when they made it, made it too-far ahead of current marketting (blu-ray) and much too expensive. Whereas Microsoft wanted to release the Xbox about 3 months ahead to battle the Wii. I dont need a siggy no moar.
