Pking and the World: Is it worth?

Its what Runescape used to be, and came back. Now in each specific worlds, people battle random people for all the glory and fame. But is it worth risking your precious items to slaughter people?

 

 

 

For example, Ive seen in members pking worlds, high lvled wearing Full Bandos and a Gs only being slaughter by another person...

 

 

 

Is pking for fun? Or for glory and fame?

Traditionally, Player Killing has been one of the best aspects of RuneScape. It involves high stakes, a lot of fun and excitement and if it goes well enough, one can very much profit from it.

 

 

 

Player Killing comes with a big risk, but RuneScape is just a game, and that risk is worth taking for the fun you can get out of it.

I enjoy pkng but never profit from it, and usually only stake around 2mill (whip, food and full rune) and im very bad at pking

This post annoyed me from the off as it said pking is what runescape used to be.

 

 

 

This is narrow minded and pathetic, even at its peak only maybe 10% of the rs population were out right pkers with atleast 50 - 60% of the rs popualtion being people who never pked.

 

 

 

Runescape is a diverse and complex game pking NEVER was the game and NEVER will be the game it only ever was and is a singular aspect of the game.

Player Killing comes with a big risk, but RuneScape is just a game, and that risk is worth taking for the fun you can get out of it.

 

Its not a very fun game if you die no matter what, when every attempt doesnt work, tactics and power, and the most big part: money. If your low on funds Pk'ing SUCKS. Theres no fun to losing something you cant replace.

 

 

 

Other then that, it does provide you with the daily adventures and squeels you dont get from quests or bosses.

you realise you infuriate alot of people yourself, right? pking was, to alot of people, the only reason to play it, because they like the pvp aspect. its more challenging, dangerous and fun to most people. ALOT of people i knew only played to pk, and mainly trained ONLY with pking, because its all they liked to do. its those people who "infuriate" you, but they are only sad to have lost the only thing they liked in the game, and to many of them, bh and pvp worlds simply arent the same, and i agree with them.

 

 

 

im guessing the Medead0 is one of those people aswell, and pking is what runescape used to be to him.

Believe it or not, this statement is fairly accurate. The whole economy centered around PKing, because PKing is a thing called money drain. Skillers made products, Pkers bought them, used them, made some money, and bought more things from Skillers. It was a great balance. Just because you didn't (and still don't) Pk doesn't mean that it didn't effect your gameplay.
