April 24, 200917 yr How can a god be "dead", really? For example, what happens to people in RuneScape when they die? What happens to GODS when they die? There's been a lot of talk about Zaros lately, I wonder if we'll actually be seeing him soon... Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
April 24, 200917 yr (btw Zaros was not subject to the banishment that the other gods faced at the time of the god wars, he was kinda dead.) I mean when Zamorak defeated Zaros he banished him from the realm. Though Zamorak did not kill Zaros, he merely drained Zaros' power. Ponies!

There's been a lot of talk about Zaros lately, I wonder if we'll actually be seeing him soon... I'm not sure Zaros is even still a god, since Zamorak drained him of enough power to become a god himself. We know from an eyewitness account that Zamorak seemed to become more real, while Zaros seemed to fade away. I would guess that Zamorak quite literally drained away Zaros's divinity for himself. But then again, Zaros is supposed to have been really powerful, so who knows? Maybe even after losing enough of his power to make another guy ascend to godhood, he still had enough left to retain his own godliness. We already know what happens to people in Runescape when they die, of course. They generally respawn. ;) But I still don't think the mystics have anything important to do with anything important. April 24, 200917 yr I wouldn't count Bandos as a cool deity actually. Popular kids can be jerks too. In fact, many of them use that as their defining personality trait. At the very least, he holds enough clout to make Guthix respect his sovereignity, much to my disappointment. On a side note, I consider it important the fact that if the revenants were to regain physical form, there's a distinct possibility that they would be allowed to escape the wilderness seeing as their spirits no longer have to rely on the twisted energy of the barren wastes in order to hold their forms in this realm. But I may be reading into this too much. And even though none of the other factions in the matter are showing any apparent interest in their activities, it is quite possible that they are hiding their surveillance on it like anything else in order to conceal any activities that they are planning to counteract against the possibility of a revenant invasion. Also, revenant invasion sounds pretty cool just saying it. Aggressive creatures with abilities similar to players roaming free across the civilized lands? Gives me chills in me spine.

April 24, 200917 yr [hide=The Pact, Fullfilled]The silent strangers message could be heard only in the brothers minds a raspy, conspiratorial whisper: The time has come, my warriors. The gifts I bestowed upon you have served you well, and you, in turn, have served your god. Now, it is time to begin your servitude to me...to my god. You shall stand ever vigilant for His return, and then you will be champions in His glorious army - we shall have victory against the usurper. But first, you must die...[/hide] You forgot the part in bold, which clearly refers to Zamorak, thus Sliske is a real ally to Zaros. About SC... Hard to say. R.I.P. oO000oO0oO00, RS2 range pure transformed to a maxed PvM char in EoC, ten years of time completely wasted.Good to be gone :)

Well actually if you paid close attention during the cutscene in WGS, you'd have noticed Lucien raising the Super Barrow Bros. from the dead for his own army. Not sure how Sliske is going to feel about that. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
April 25, 200917 yr Those weren't the Barrows Brothers. I'm pretty damn sure about that. Which Barrows Brother do you know has four arms? Also, there were only 5 of them. There are 6 Brothers. April 25, 200917 yr I doubt that SC will have any real involvement in the game as a whole or in quests. And also, from what is said about Sliske and his having a hand in the small things of day to day life, I bet he's more involved than that of the head mystic. If I had to guess, I bet he is a Necromancer of some type. I mean, Zammy has a powerful wizard and necromance ally in Lucien and Zamoregal, respectively. I bet with Sliska, Zaros will have the same wizard and necomancer ally of that of Azzanadra and Sliske, again respectively. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.

We still know very few of the mahjarrat, though, as a lot of them have not announced themselves and are still likely to be in hiding.
