I once woke up one night to find a spider running across my bed (it was huge :(), to which I refused to sleep in my bed until it was found. Small ones I can handle but when one has the wingspan of your thumb... that's just not natural. wingspan of your thumb...thats not very big, ive ones with wingspan like (tip of one wing to the other) the size of my palm. + to whoever was writing about the hornets and bees and that i thought wasps and hornets were the same thing, just hornets was a much cooler name, like i thought americans called them hornets and we called them wasps or something, so whats the difference? wasps are the smaller yellow and black striped ones, that fly around, americans call them hornets, hornets (or wasps to the americans) are the big ones with the big long stinger(almost like an extension of their abdomen from what I remember), that can sting really fast, and a lot. If you could die right now, while crossing the street. What ramifications would it have ? Did my life actually mean anything, besides to the ones I knew ? Your regrets, why you are dying. The people around you. It's not necessarily I'm afraid of it, but rather I'm interested. I think about it fairly often. Do you guys ? Just to let you know -- I'm not some crazy freak. I'm terrified of any spiders with a leg span larger than my smallest fingertip. I also have a phobia of large air bubbles (God knows why), though it's not as bad as it used to be; until I was about 11, I would refuse to have a bath if there were any bubbles larger than about 5mm in diameter in the water. I find large, rotting leaves frightening too. I can remember refusing to go on a walk with my family when I was about 6 because of some giant water doc plants which grew along the route. Fortunately, I live in a spider-free house miles from the nearest rhubarb with limited stocks of bubble-bath. If absolute power corrupts absolutely, where does that leave God? Hydra_55555 Posted May 12, 2009 Share Posted May 12, 2009 I'm not really sure what this would come under, but one of my big (and only, so far as I know) fears is encountering creatures in the water e.g. fish, squid, crabs etc. I'm not scared of these things when I see them on land, but if I was in a pool with these in I would freak out in 0-5 seconds. Getting something damp in my shoe... especially at this one camping ground that apparently has leeches in the lake... :ohnoes: But even when I'm not there I go all 'AAAHHHH' and scramble to get the damp leaf out of my shoe. Spiders, ants, and any other small critter with 6+ legs. Heights. ... Okay not so much the fall so much as the landing! OWWW! Some people (actually, a good part of the human population) will feel a slight chill when seeing some of the pictures. Others (me) can end up having a very intense chill that can be felt after half an hour. You can just fall to the ground and get into fetal position crying when you see the nasty ones. Alot of the pictures revolve around parasites or maggots making holes on your skin or other surface, lotus seed plants are also used alot. :lol: here are examples: **WARNING** This is not really "graphic" it's a women with alot of the lotus plants shopped into her, but i can't even look at it. I had to get my sister to link it, when i look at it i just want to go kill myself. I really didn't understand what you were talking about at first, but that last picture is truly disgusting. Becoming severely brain-damaged and having to live with the disability is my greatest fear. Growing old and senile is a similar fear I hold, as well. Having my mental and physical faculties wasting away as I age or losing them as a result of an accident terrifies me at times. There are indeed fates worse than death; I'd rather die young than face crippling illness or the effects of advancing age. Interested in helping the Tip.It Crew?
