It's the great seal of the United States, it really has nothing to do with religion. There's no endorsed religion here, so the separation still stands.

 

 

 

Second, "In god we trust" was added onto money many years later in the 1860's, and it was added in the pledge because we were "fighting da commies" and had to promote American nationalism; you know, God must favor us because everything that we do is correct.

Actually, here's a damn thought: who reads what is on their dollar bill except for the number that dictates it's worth? This country was based on a religion back maybe 200-300 years ago, but times change. This country isn't state = church anymore, and it never has been either.
