May 29, 200917 yr Anyone else sense the irony when the Jagex profanity was censored with [cabbage]? If you want your game to be identified as having older players you can start by not treating your players like children. HINT: get rid of the compulsory chat filter and ease up on your nazi-like abuse rules Ok, I find this very weird. A Jagex CEO giving out personal information about a player. Age, nationality and hours played. Isn't that totally against their policy? I mean, I don't mind, but it's contradictory. She's an adult and they have her consent, not too amazing.

They eased up the chat filters and changed their policy for reporting, I belive, so yeah... Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so.
May 29, 200917 yr Well to be honest everyone is having the same reaction they had when Mod MMG became the CEO. "Oh my goodness! He's so awesome! How exciting! Runescape is going to be so much better!" Then the lousy updates come along and Runescape starts down the path of one big failure update after the other (with the occasional decent update) and people are badmouthing and hating Jagex. Now you read an interview, which probably happened a while back due to some of the inaccuracies, and you're all excited again. I'll be excited when I see all of the talk in this interview to not be so much talk but actual action. Thanks, MMG. |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|

May 29, 200917 yr Hm. Perhaps I am presuming much, but maybe somewhere along the line they figured that these fixes were long overdue and decided to dedicate themselves to repairing various parts that needed attention. People will complain about the sun being there until it is gone, and then they start to worry about it not coming back. But the sun does not care either way, and the earth continues to turn as it must. And to be clear, it is very hard to have it both ways. If you can't justify paying for members, you can just simply wait until the content flow comes back. Go read a book or ten. In the meanwhile, they've got this big update in the pipe and they figured that if they manage to pull it off, people would write off the previous months of dry spell as nothing. Perhaps they are relying too much on this. Only time will tell. Either way, I'd rather have a solid game that works than one with tons of stuff that I can't enjoy without all these various annoyances getting in the way. --------------- I think the new skill may have to do with "mobilizing armies", as it appears to be a turn based or real time stratey game which is somewhat different than most mmos, the development has been delayed so much that they've had enough time to revamp it into an entirely different activity, and the return of Zaros comes ever closer, meaning our pitiful guards could use some whipping into shape to be put into active duty. Once again, pure speculation.
May 29, 200917 yr It is kind of nice to see that instead of letting content get built up by months or even years of speculation they are playing the "Big" things close to the chest. Not to say that things like the diaries talk about are not big but they are only a fraction of what there is coming, like an iceberg. I am happy to see that F2P has dropped it's status as a billboard for how great membership is and has returned to the way it was (by being able to build myself there and do the many things I loved without the pressure of "you need to be a member" for anything but those pesky gates it helped me make the original transition to becoming a member so many years ago.) I am glad they found someone with an interest in the game more from a player standpoint then from that of a CEO. Profits are only nice when they are used to create better content and create it fast enough for the players to never catch up not when they are just thrown around to make the game bigger. All in all I am most happy they are not going to follow the path of live content editing like they did with summoning. The skill itself is decent in many aspects but it has been so tarnished by the wave of "oh this is not right (yes yes nothing is perfect and there will always be someone to find cracks but everyone knows that release was a huge flop.) Last thought! Anyone else happy they are admitting that RS was built on a viral status instead of the mass marketing that other MMO's use? CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT PART!!
May 29, 200917 yr Very interesting... More interested about next one on other projects though, it is only 3 hours away  . Thanks Gradeskip93 for my awesome sig!

May 30, 200917 yr Well, I was making an analogy to back in the day when people thought that the sun was actually leaving and coming back instead of the Earth turning on its axis, and then tied that in to people who play this game complaining about anything they happen to observe on the surface, when there is much more going on, and that either way, griping about it doesn't do anything useful. However, I forgot to put the end part of that thought: People will complain about the sun being there until it is gone, and then they start to worry about it not coming back. Then when it does, people take it for granted and forget that they ever complained about it, much less actually be thankful for what they got. Then they find something new that is wrong with their lives. The whole matter is quite frustrating. I do thank you for informing me that people still think that way. It gave me a bit of lulz. I'd quote that if I were that kind of person. As a counterpoint, it has been proven that some lifeforms can actually survive in zero sunlight provided that another energy source, like thermal vents, is involved. And no, I don't count the undead in that list. But know that if the sun leaves, it will be in a very, very large explosion that will engulf the Earth, among other planets, in a huge funeral pyre that will kill everything on the planet with the radiation long before the flames actually reach it. That won't happen for a good several billion years though. Provided that we don't decide to do it ourselves.
May 30, 200917 yr SAILING! Its going to be very interesting, having a new skill for F2P...Not to mention all the whiners saying "Its just a demo! they don't deserve anything!" etc etc... Popoto.~<3
May 30, 200917 yr SAILING! Its going to be very interesting, having a new skill for F2P...Not to mention all the whiners saying "Its just a demo! they don't deserve anything!" etc etc... Technically, F2P doesn't deserve anything. They do not pay for the continuous content. But it is a nice gesture on Jagex's part to give them a new skill. That's going to be strange... F2Pers get something new to train, their total rises, all those top F2P players will be racing to 99 in whatever skill it is. :geek:
May 30, 200917 yr First part was interesting. Second part was very interesting. New skill this year? \ : Just wish they would say more, I must know. The third one was also interesting. A very good read. ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::.........
