I'm currently going to be training slayer.

 

Should i bother using a cannon? Would i lose to much? Does it help much in exp/hr?

Cannon is only worth it with certain tasks such as Abby Specs, Banshees, Black Demons and a select few others. You should make profit on Banshees and Abby Specs but Black Demon will make a loss without Rune drops. It all depends on the kind of tasks you get tbh, but i would estimate 500 - 550 tasks in a row.

So i should use cannon on some tasks that helps alot i was gonna use on all lol. And that estimate will help.

The "cannon only when I break even" mentality is a horrible one if you're trying to effectively slay. Do it on the ones where it helps the most, or all if you can afford it.

The exp per hour is a bit better, as well as less crappy tasks. the charms are also better (less green charm tasks like basilisks, turoths, kurasks and such) red dragons blue dragons and stuff are poor exp either way and also charmless for babies unlike baby blacks.

 

 

 

The drops are also better since you get less bad tasks. I dont think sumona can assign waterfiends, one of the best slayer tasks to get.

 

 

 

and a last of note, be sure to perm block steel dragons and iron dragons for sure. Then likely greater demons and hellhounds. Wyverns are good/decent at 88 summon but not that great. they arent that common of a task either, so doesn't warrant a block. probly a skip until you get unicorn though unless you enjoy them

I think i can afford it not sure how long though. And since you know alot about slayer what is your input about summona vs duradel?

Duradel's tasks are bigger, and they are generally better overall. You could do Sumona, it's not too bad, but I would definitely rate Duradel as better. Also, Sumona will drain your money supply completely out, due to the amount of cannoning her tasks involve (allows).

Not sure on how many tasks it'll take, but I'm 80 slayer (47k from 81) and I'm at close to 145 tasks in a row I think. I use Duradel for every single one, and I've been doing it since around 72 slayer (I think, I don't know the exact level).

You could, but thats time you could have spent slaying and not gathering money. If you do Duradel you won't need to make money, and you might possible make some from slaying. I know i have once i hit 85, i never got any spirit mages until 90 slayer :cry:

Iron dragons is a nice task. You can tank those with the help of only a little usage of prayer pots. Pure profit.

Use cannon on every task you can as it makes tasks go by much quick(if you can afford it, but remember time is money).

 

 

 

Regardless of multicombat, be able to hit 25's on a target with range while hitting it with melee is beneficial.

The best thing to do for efficient slayer xp probably is reading this guide and doing whatever it says.

 

 

 

I'd block metal dragons for sure, and use the two remaining blocks on hellhounds/greaters/kalphites.

Yes, it's a fair way around. But if you were starting within a click or two of a fairy ring, then compare that to getting to Ardougne, running to the boat, getting from the boat to the cart - I doubt the fairy ring way would be longer.
