If you need to have a shield on then using the Dragon Scimmy will work. If you fight metal dragons you're best bet would be a Leaf-Bladed Sword on stab. If you're training on low-defense monsters (which you probably are unless you're doing this by slayer), Zerker necklace + obby sword is superior. ~It's Super Effective! Now if i were to kill waterfiends then i might just use sgs, but then again maybe not. Danqazmlp Posted June 8, 2009 Share Posted June 8, 2009 I'm in and been in the exact same situation. After getting 99 def and att, i was left with 87 str to try and level up through slayer. Personally, i brought a SS and have used it for 4 levels, it may be expensive, but imo its worth it. you will still probably need an EE on a few slay tasks, but not a whole lot more than with a shield seeing as you have 99 def.
