whats so weird about that?

here in finland are like every second 6 years old owns a cell phone :roll

Kids who are still learning to write proper sentences have mobiles?

If you don't see the problem with "every second 6 years old" owning a mobile then there is something wrong with you.

I feel sorry for those spoilt little kids.

i dont literally mean that _every_ second have.. more like most of 10 yrs old kids have mobile phone

Notoriously Trollish.

Well I don't have a cell phone still, was debating on whether to buy one over the past days, but I've really got to start saving my money. I have no serious use for a cell, other than taking pics which a cam can do, and making the occasional call from school to my house or my dad....so yeah, $300 or so on a nice cell isn't worth it for me atm.

I didn't got cellphone until I was 15, every friend of mine got their first like when they was 12

I have basic nokia phone, I don't like camera or any mp3 phones

I got my first MOBILE phone as we call it here at age 13, it was a Nokia 7250i

I had that until recently actually, when I bought a nice pretty Sony Ericsson K750i

Dont currently have a phone, But am planning to get a new 1 soon. The last 1 i had was some erricson thingy that was really crap... since then ive had no reason to get another 1.

i got my first 1 from the 2nd chance draw at macdonolds

I can't even find a pic of my first mobile, it's so old and obsolete :(

I've had a few phones since then, but my current one is the Nokia 7260

Yeah it's a nice looking phone, but not the best for features. No bluetooth for starters, which is a pretty major thing these days. I got it as a free upgrade though, so i'm not complaining.

Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

my first, an Ericsson T10, got it when I was 14 I think, pretty normal when I was taht age, but now, 14 is probably very late her in sweden...

I was around 13, I think. It was a Nokia 3110. The one before my current one was a Sony Ericsson K700i, I'll never buy a Sony Ericsson phone again - everyone I know with any of their phones has had the joystick on it stop functioning and become reluctant to go down (over 7 people).

Now I have an HTC Alpine, a.k.a. O2 XDA2i/Qtek 2020i/some other things depending on the provider:

Within a couple of months I'll have an HTC Universal, a.k.a. O2 XDA Exec:

I beleive that they are officially changing to HTC (in england at least)pretty soon, but i always know them as QTEK.

I have a Nokia N70, and whats funny in reading this old thread is seeing a couple of people with K750I's, which are still a highly respected phone, even a year after released.

Given the current market i would purchase the Nokia E60

just because a phone should just be a communication device, and this is able to do some decent data communication and the battery life is amazing. They say the phone will be the new Nokia 6310i.

Edit: Do you like your phone, Phil?

I don't mean to try and discredit your choice but IMO you pay a lot of money for a phone with few features (no video capture, no expandable memory, etc) and a bad camera (VGA).

The only reason i can see for buying the phone would be the love of the design, and i agree it does look quite nice, if a little big even when in its 'closed state'.

manipofsarahs1gg5.png

Indeed, they will be selling handsets as HTC soon - but I'm not sure if it will be all of them. As for using it as a phone - that is secondary to me; I don't make many calls. I needed something that would fit in my pocket and have wireless network access to browse the net on my university's connection.

On to the Razr - both of my parents have them and I think they are both abysmal. My dad has the first and my mother has the V3i. They have a horriffic UI.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

Yeah it's not the best phone about but it does the job fine. I've never had a problem with the UI. It's easily customisable so you can get used to it the way you want it.

If I was to get a new phone I wouldn't go for the upgraded version of this one though I would get a different make.

So yeah, not the best but not the worst.

sig2ho7.jpg

My first phone was some kind of samsung flip phone, I put the screen by some strong magnet and the screen stopped working :?

Now I have a really small Nokia 3120 (non flip phone) and surprisingly I like it alot more than flip phones.

I got my first cellphone for X-Mas last year... I was 13, and the cellphone was a Motorola Razr. I love my cellphone...

(looks at topic)

want one - yes, need one - not really..

might get one when i get a car so i can call people if i need to..

i'd like to get a sony ericson if i do get one.

*looks at last months phone bill*
