I'm on 80 now, it's really hard since there's so much I'm accidently leaving out.

I don't have any idea how voting should be done though. Ten votes per person, only one vote may go toward each movie. Once we hit (Five or ten?) votes on a movie, it is an official member of the list.

Anybody have a better idea?

UPDATED

Also, I think maybe we should do something like have a negative vote system, five per person, only one toward each movie, but once the movie gets negative five votes, it's off the list. Everyone can vote as many times as they like as long as it is after two other people have voted.

I know there's a lot of essential stuff that's not up there, but these are just my favorites, sorry. :) Not much new movies either, hope that won't scare anybody off. I'm just not very interested in general. History offers me more.

Tarkovsky, of course :)

You never know these days.

I only noticed Stalker, and Mirror. No Solaris man? I'm disappointed.. And ya, not many people would be interested in the 72 version.

I'm sorry. I already had two Tarkovsky movies, and there's not that much space. I'd rather mention something different that I like just as much or even better. :) And you already promoted it, so no need to worry.

Yeah, not going to lie. People are suggesting some absolutely terrible movies for this. If it's going have Tip.it's name on it, we better have a fair system for putting movies on the list.

If you're going to make a claim like that, at least put some weight behind your words.

He does have a point, especially with those kid movies like Shrek and Toy Story. I don't think they're terrible but they definitely shouldn't belong in a list of "must see" movies.

I think it would be pretty hard to come up with a solid system though because it's purely subjective. But if you were to ask me, only movies with deep and meaningful stories and aren't only there solely for entertainment purposes?

True that. But the thing is that this list is a "100 movies to see before you die. " Not a top 100 movies list. Most of those movies you compiled into your list are very watch worthy, even if they don't have a deep storyline or good character development.

1260955552084-1.jpg

I thought Borat, Donnie Darko and the Dark Knight were excellent films. I;m surprised you ruled them out.
