Firefox 3.5 - What do you think?

it just proves that microsoft takes 2 years to make a new browser, and firefox 1 ups it in a few weeks.

It's not that different from 3.0 when I use it. Firefox still 'lags' randomly every few minutes (refuses to load pages) so it's irritating and I have to resort to using to IE

When I first used Firefox 3.5 I did notice a slight speed improvement though (until I was hit by the 'refuse to load pages' thing).

Firefox behaves more and more like Opera each release.

Browsers seem to become more like each other because in each update they have to fix issues people have, and then add features people would like. What would they like? Those features from another browser that they would like to have on the browser that they use. Why would they want to swap browser over 1 thing it doesn't have?

I only want firefox to become faster and more secure. Oh and I can't wait to see what Mozilla can do to the speed with multi-core functionality. :D

Hello...

For me Mozilla Firefox 3.5 is enough to surf the internet because it has got add on functionality which is, i think very helpful when you are surfing the internet. Add on functionality makes easy most of the tasks, that we can't find in any other browser... Firefox get improved after 3.5 version....

I had some stability issues in the start. Then I stopped using the unstable version of FF (3.5.1rcsomething) and my problems were solved. (Captain Obvious to the rescue!)

More CSS3 & HTML5 support + JavaScript & overall speed improvements = a nice Halfway To FF4 update.

One thing for me is that it will sometimes open pages in a new firefox instead of just a new tab.

Pisses me off.

go to tools>options>tabs and choose the option to open links in a new tab.

That was already checked.

Edit: I realize why. When you drag a tab down a tiny bit it will open in a new window. SO I must have opened it then when switching tabs dragged down. Anyone know how to turn that off?

This is annoying the hell out of me. :wall:

Have been loving this since 3.1b1  Greatly improved speed and functionality over 3.0. With all the addons available for it, I can't see any good reason to use another browser.

Well, with the exception of songbird maybe but that is basically Firefox anyway.

Today I made the switch back from Google Chrome due to too many stability issues, and arrived at FF3.5, and quickly added as many features from chrome that I could find. I have to admit, it's nearly as fast as well.

I wouldn't update it right now anyway, I reverted back to Firefox 3 because of crash problems and the such, I would still wait a few weeks.
