Da Pirates
Hello Tip.It, I am writing this post due to the fact I have just banned banned from earning XP for two weeks on Halo 3 because I was boosting for XP and achievements. I was just wonder if you guys think boosting for XP/achievements in games is OK or it should be disallowed. I have noticed the game companies themselves deal with boosting VS Microsoft doing anything about it. Personally I think it is ok due to the fact some games have ridiculous achievements like getting a Perfection Medal in halo or reaching rank 100 in Gears Of War 2. -Mlbfan13 BR BR BR? Poppet
Boosting is wrong and you should know that its banned in Halo 3 and if you want achievements so bad why don't you play party games or something if you don't have the skills to get perfection, etc.
22pepsi22
If you can't pass the requirements for the achievement, you don't deserve it then. I don't have Xbox Live or an Xbox at all, but, I believe what I said is universal.
aquariusman
Define what you did to 'boost' please. There are waaaay too many ways for someone to boost in Halo 3. The company is the one that manages it's online service, it has every right to say what you can and cannot do. Just play the game, who cares about a tiny number that has no impact on the way you play the game. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. Dizzle229
Boosting is wrong. If they were easy then they wouldn't be ACHIEVEMENTS, would they? The thing that makes them achievements is that you actually achieve them. P.S. I still believe that OT should move to make Viva Pinaata the most played game in history. Nadril
I love how EVERYONE that says it is wrong has never boosted. Maybe this is obvious, but if you thought it was wrong why would you do it? I don't really care about boosting achievement points but I do think it's pretty lame. Meh, perhaps that's why I only have like 2,500 gamerscore. That's why I have no idea how he was able to get in a game alone with a friend. Unless you mean a game besides H3, in which case, disregard. Da Pirates
Since everyone wants to know how I boosted: I went into Rumble Pit with 2 extra controllers plugged in and had 1 friend do the same and another only plug 1 extra controller in, which totalled 8 controllers playing that way we didn't have to find random people to play with. Then we just veto'd maps till we got either a Mythic or Legendary and told each other what achievements we needed and then got them. For example, I needed a Killtrocity on a mythic map so when we had Sandbox, I told my friends to move themselves and their controllers until there were 5 people next to each other, With 1 rocket I got it. Also this was my third time boosting (I learned about how to do this the first time when Bluejayfan94 invited me to do it). Out of all the friends I did it with me and another kid did it for about 3 hours continuous while the other people took and hour break inbetween, and me and that kid were the two banned. BR BR BR? Dizzle229
Im curious, how do Bungie/Microsoft know when you are boosting? I think they judge it by the fact that all of the controllers came from the same two people, friends, and they were gaining achievements and XP at a rapid rate. Get back here so I can rub your butt. You should have just done it with friends over Xbox Live...No need for extra controllers then.
