Call_2_Glory
Well, after having my car for almost 2 years, I have decided i want to make some adjustments. I drive a 2004 Mustang GT, Charcoal Grey. Its an Automatic Transmission, and if you want to know any of the specs, either ask, or look it up on Google. On to the questions. -Interior- 1) Lighting What kid of interior lights should I look into? Where should I look in install these? What colors should be used with my Grey Leather and Grey paintjob? 2)Panels, Seats and Gauges Brands, types, what all should i look into? is the Billet style really worth looking into? -Exterior- 1)Body kits What style would look great on my car? Where would i go to get this either installed, painted, and all of that jazz? 2) Chassis Do i need to make an upgrade to it in anyway for performance to increase? -Engine- Im looking to add some horsepower, and would love to get that great purr out of my engine when i turn it on. Things like turbo chargers, fuel injectors, new fuel filters, and anything else you can imagine that might make my engine more powerful, can you please rate it and whether it is worth the money? Also, what engine mods should i look into for increasing Fuel Efficiency? Pictures- If there is anything else you want to see, or that i need to provide to help you help me in this decision, please, let me know. OldJoe
Better ask at a local dealer or a proper car forum. The only thing i can think of is, get new suspension. Because your car has an ancient live-axle rear suspension. RichieMcD
You're best advice would probably come from any of these 3 1: Joining a Mustang fan forum 2: Joining a Car Customization forum 3: Go into your local Mustang dealer / reputable autoshop. FYI, I used to be into modding cars, to properly kit that all out with what you want, you'd be looking at a minimum 5000-7000 dollars, for a good kit out. If you get an engine over hall with more parts than which you mentioned, add about an extra 1000 - 2000 dollars. Enjoy it.
Skull
Is it a 4.6L V8 engine? That's a pretty good engine to start with, and honestly there's really no reason to do anything to it short of racing or for show (which I'm assuming you're doing it for). If you've got the money then there's a few things you can do like turbo or intakes to bring up the horsepower, but that can be expensive plus labor intensive if you're doing the work yourself. A lot of what you can do is dependent on your budget. I don't want to sound to knowledgeable because I'm not. I got most of what I know from the internet and the occasional car magazine over the past few years. Lenticular_J
How do you make a Mustang better? Drive it into a river. Ahahahahaha. Honestly though, it doesn't look like it necessarily needs anything. Turbo, fuel injection, mods ... None of that stuff is really worth the money. And I'm assuming you have the typical Mustang engine, so really if you're expecting more of a purr rather than a roar you'd better be prepared to spend thousands at a specialty shop. But I don't know that much about Fords. Well, I don't know a ton about vehicles, but I digress... catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
Evil_Sabre
Sell it and buy a stick shift. If someone pulled up in a turbo charged, modded Mustang and saw it was automatic, I'd laugh till I cried, and most other people would as well....no offense. pennywise
what's the point of having 10,000 horsepower if you only drive your car around the streets? i don't exactly know where you drive your car but... Eight Bananas, MD.
dippymister
what's the point of having 10,000 horsepower if you only drive your car around the streets? i don't exactly know where you drive your car but... I agree. Why would you make your car fast and powerful when theres basically no need for it, unless you actually race or something... which I doubt. I'd just make it look and sound cool. :D :ohnoes:My Guide on Obby Mauling!

Tim
[hide=OPINION]There's not much you CAN do to "mod" a Mustang. Interior wise, Its white leather so all options officially just got screwed over, you'll need a light colored "Deco' St00f" (Seat covers, Mats etc.). ...Funny enough thats it. Mustangs were designed as a "Muscle Car", not something like a Evo VIII or a Skyline. The only thing you could do to it is engine mods, otherwise you'll kill the very essence of Ford and make the mustang look like a pony. Or if you have the money, you could get a REAL Mustang like the Mach 1 [hide=][/hide] But in all honest opinion, there isn't much you can do about that model.[/hide] In terms of your questions: Interior: Since it's not black leather, your going to find it hard to get something that'll work with it. Exterior:Putting a Kit on a Mustang is like shoving a Volvo label on a Dodge Charger; unheard of and blasphemy. Engine: Its a Mustang, its a MANLY engine, It doesn't need extra power. If anything you should just look into fuel saving based mods and perhaps a sports exaust pipe... because if you shove one of those big, fat round exausts on it, you'll make it look bad. As a final say, exactly how old are you? because I'd hate to be aiding a 17 year old into torturing a Mustang and/or making himself look bad. Right above doorway What colors should be used with my Grey Leather and Grey paintjob? .... 2)Panels, Seats and Gauges Brands, types, what all should i look into? is the Billet style really worth looking into? Maybe you could look into custom seat covers/ wheel cover? I saw another forum thread where this guy had 4 different seat covers with each having a picture of his 4 different wow characters.
