The Poison arrow

Featured Replies

As many of you may have heard of it, in the latest (I think latest :? ) guaranteed content poll there was a selection of theme bars to pick from, and the ranged themed "poison arrow" bar was chosen to replace the currently empty bar near the docks of Ardougne.

The Poison Arrow - Concept Art

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,

I thought that some of you would like a little update on how "The Poison Arrow" pub in Ardougne is coming along.

The last time I spoke to you, the theme had been voted for and we were busy collecting all of your graphical suggestions.

Your ideas have since been made into some awesome concept art and is now in the hands of our Developers. I thought that you would like to take a peek!

To remind you of the chosen theme, "The Poison Arrow" consists of the following:

The NPCs:

Marion the barmaid used to lead a group of merry bandits, but now she is content to stand behind the bar and polish her numerous archery trophies, in between serving drinks to thirsty travellers.

Geoff sits by the dartboard fletching arrows, which he tests by flinging them at the board. He once tried to join the Ranging Guild, but failed his entry test after accidentally shooting a squirrel out of a tree, injuring it.

Sparky the squirrel's injured leg has never been the same, but Geoff promised to look after him and gave him one of his arrows to use as a crutch.

The Beverage:

Ranger's ade - golden in colour and flavoured with local honey for a sweeter taste, it really hits the target.

The Snack:

Skewered kebab - grilled meat and vegetables skewered on an arrow.

These are my pictures taken today from the place the bar will be in:

I, personally look forward to this pub, thinking its a great addition to the great city of Ardougne and I hope they make the Stools in teh bar Sit-able. ( ) that would give it that certain cozy feeling Pubs have.

And what do you think about this pub?

PS: the squirrel has a robin hood hat and a crossbow! i swear i kept seeing the same squirl killing people in some of the tif'ers signatures.... shock:

The clock is ticking, and your time is running out, mortals.

That squirrel has been on many of Jagex's newsposts. It used to be my avatar.

anyway, on topic: i agree, tht wud be amazing if the stools where sit-able. i wonder if they will also hav a "new" type of beer as well. they should probably also add this pub to the barcrawl thing, tht'd be great

Google: "Runescape squirrel with a crossbow" (Image search). Second result, should be a 100x100 pixel image.

yes I really hope it will actually be something useful, maybe a new quest, maybe even a new place to actually "chill" and talk to other players

Yay! New place! Hopefully it'll do more than just be as empty as now...

The quill is a miracle, for it drinks darkness and sheds light.

Oh right, by the way, I'm a girl. No more calling me a guy you lot~

This bar better come with a [bleep] amazing quest or item with all the fuss they've been making over it.

Am I the only one that thinks Jagex should better use their time than making such a big deal out of a bar in ardougne. Unless we get a Dragon Crossbow with it I am not going to care an ounce about this.

You guys must not appreciate the small things in the game. You are probably one of those player who just see the game as numbers and clicks on the minimap instead of the screen and miss out on the world around you. Appreciate the little things, gives it a nice homey feeling inside.

Wongton is better than me in anyway~~

This bar's being made by one, if even two people. They're not halting other projects so they can make this.

Stop crying every time they do something that isn't 100% relevant to your interests or doesn't include some uber-weps wif gr8 geepees.

At this point(ever sense mmg really) Jagex has been on a very rocky road as far as updates and content go. if the game continues to be updated as it has been in the past 7 months i dont like it will last another 5 years, much less the 10 they want it to. Jagex doesn't have time to make small updates that you will visit once and never return. What they need to do is figure out pvp and stick with it. then start cranking out some updates for the skillers and questers that have been oh so neglected this last 7 months or so. At this point in time runescape as we know it is completely unstable. Even if you don't pvp the only way to avoid its disasterous effects is to be 100% self sufficient.

Actually without small graphical updates such as this most of this game would be 5 years behind. These small updates are what make the game continue to evolve.

What if dragons looked the same as the start of RS2?
