Training Melee: PC Vs Monsters

Featured Replies

Which is the fastest way to get Melee exp? And if the answer is monsters, which monsters?

I am currently combat 92

Slayer

it isn't fast but youre going to train it someday anyways

armored zombies are the best

killing ankous and ghosts in the security stronghold is really fast too. bring void, a salve ammy(e), pots, btp tabs, and 5 or 6 monks.

This.

Although the fastest PURE xp (as in melee and nothing else), would be dharoking Skeleton Monkeys. 145k+ per hour, best it's costly. Compare that to Armored Zombies, which are 100k per hour, but you profit ~200k.

How can I get a salve ammy?

Do the Haunted Mine quest, and then to get the salve ammy (e) do the Tarn's Lair miniquest.

How can I get a salve ammy?

Do the Haunted Mine quest, and then to get the salve ammy (e) do the Tarn's Lair miniquest.

Make sure to get lots of extras. Better safe than sorry, and if you lose your last ammy, you gotta do the entire process over again. And if it's the enchanted version you lost, and you don't have a slayer ring, you gotta run through that entire Tarn's Lair dungeon again if you threw out your Diary book.

Unless you have a bookcase in your house, it ends up there and you can use it to bless other amulets.

Thanks.

Earlier on this forum I saw a guy talking about getting to 99 attack in four days from Bandits, where & how did he do that?

Thanks.

Bandits are in the bandit camp (desert, not wilderness one).

But it's worse xp than AZs, PC, and Skeleton monkeys, and there's no profit either. Only plus is that you can afk forever there.

Thanks.

he was probably pretty high level to start with.

Bandits are a decent training option because you can afk or semi afk for really long amounts of time using guthans.

Orthodoxy is unconciousness

the only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.

I'd suggest slayer if you like cash. It's basically made for combat training, so just use the skill to your advantage. Honestly, you'll be kicking yourself if you get max combat on other methods, and end up having to train slayer with no point at all.

But, if you REALLY want to be kicking yourself, I'd suggest basically what everyone else has said.

You could alternatively Dharok Monkey Guards on Ape Atoll and use the 15% prayer. No Salve bonuses, but the only costs are antipoisons and repairs (there's an altar right next to the area where you would be.)

Of course, who needs that when you've got Slayer?

I average about 80k/hr doing slayer anyway.

80k/hr on slayer? Er, how? Is that an average over all of your tasks?

Just in the combat stats, not Slayer itself.

Yeah I understand that. Is it really that high? I usually get no more than 70k average, but I get a lot of tasks like mithril dragons.

Have you finished the Haunted mine quest? If so, it's near the entrance to the mine.

Also, you might want to listen to the other people who have posted on this thread, slayer can really pay off in the long run. If you ask me slayer is the perfect skill because there is no grinding slayer, you just run around and kill stuff for money.

Rejected.jpg

I personally don't like slayer lol. There are some good tasks, but there are also really bad ones. Its exp is bad and is money is decent, although you can get better exp+money elsewhere. Armoured zombies, for example, are 100kexp plus 200kmoney, which i think is really really good
