Haven is a research facility on the (former) Azores islands. You can send a science team there. No military is allowed within 10 miles of the island, and all research completed on Haven is instantly shared with everyone that has a team on the island. But, you're not allowed to research anything military related on Haven. Also, it cuts down on research times by a bit. So, a project that would normally take 5 years would take 4. Or something like that,
