The 50k is his average salary. If my average salary were 50,000...

 

50kx(my working populace)x20% tax= over 1 billion in increase to my budget.

You just implied all 50k are new but 1b * 5 = 5bm, 5b : 50k = 100k, 7k * 100k = 7m, 7m : 5 = 1,4m

3000 colonists reached Qyella (officially mine! :P ). I haven't made the map yet, but I'll just say that they've found a decent place to settle. It's high up in the mountains, but somewhat flat. It's also where they landed, if anyone was wondering how a spaceship would land on that rough terrain.

I'm now working on a new type of ship, capable of traveling shorter distances quickly. Mainly, traveling between Zhoreuc and Qyella. Should take 5-7 years to develop?

The ship carrying those colonists is stopping by Zhoreuc to pick up food and other supplies. (that's really what that new ship will be for...not a battleship in the slightest, think of it as a merchant ship in comparison to a frigate or galleon)

There was something else I wanted to do, but I can't quite remember.

A transmission has been recieved from the harvester ship sent to Galero. Various gasses have been found, and samples from an asteriod belt have shown various metals. 2 dyson shards and a battlecruiser have been completed. Another 70,000 colonists have arrived at Nost Hu, and 5,000 have been sent to Uxiu I to begin major mining operations. A scouting party has touched down on Uxiu II to begin gathering data for a colonisation effort.

I remember what I wanted to do - I'm also researching ways to improve underground habitats. Kind of hard to put into words.

Priorities are in this order:

1. Supporting Zhoreuc colony ($100b?)

2. Supporting Qyella colony ($90b?)

3. Researching fast STL (slower than light :) ) ships ($70b?)

4. Underground habitats ($50b?)

I guessed at the numbers. Just showing how this wouldn't collapse my economy or anything.

I'm not sure how effective those speeds would be over "short" distances. Think of it as traveling between Earth and Mars.

Wouldn't hurt to develop my own ships for this use, anyway. Don't think anyone else has really made ships for this purpose, so we (NWO-ers) can benefit from this.

I also forgot that I have some other continuous projects going on, but those don't really drain too much money.

That's like 210 km/s, I think. I'm looking for a speed close to half of that. So I guess it wouldn't take too long to develop, and wouldn't cost as much as I originally intended. Whatever, just thought I should mention it, to be safe from "godmod-accusers."

I've spent a lot of my budget on infrastructure, but my budget is nowhere as big as yours, so I don't think that would matter.

And no, dumping money on education will not raise your GDP at all. It'll make your people smarter on average, for sure. But jsut cause they're smart doesn't mean they get paid well. Even assuming that they did - the more people you pay high salaries for, the less worth your "money" actually has. It's the same principle that printing money means you have more. No, it actually just means each individual "dollar" becomes worth less. But you have more of them ,so it really doesn't change anything.

hex can still claim he escaped, and could potentially be under the protection of Mather. So he's not nesesarily booted, but he is pretty much left with nothing. As for me controlling his land? I can't control rebels, and I have no buisness doing so. Like I said, they live in a state of anarchy. It's up to them to organize it, I'm not dealing with that crap.
