Sorry, been wanting to say that for ages.

A floor plan would be a good idea. I was planning to look for some software in a minute but if anyone knows(or is willing to look for some)....

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Unfortunately, in this game it is hard to keep track of money, so I'm looking for something other than money.

In other news, I have sent a team of top scientists to figure out how Archi's caravels are built. They will take everything apart, examine it, and stick it back together for the fight. A plan might be to stick a bomb inside, move the caravel near the battleships, and blow up the caravel, sending strange matter everywhere.

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

Archi, if you could, why don't you develop a preliminary module system so we can make tweaks and see if we like it?

I look forward to a massive ship that orbits my planets, and is made of turrets and generators.

I am so glad my 5,000 PP ships are being blown apart to see what happens....Go on, just try it, maybe some of the Strange Matter will accidently on purpose collide with your planet....

Anyway let me remind you that big alien menance is incoming.

A quick google search turned up no software to be used for designing ships.

At least I tried <_<

Can you "scrap" a ship and recoup some of the PP?

Not really, since that would essentially be generating production. You can take it apart for the materials, yeah, but the PP itself, I wouldn't think so.

2Xeo5.png

Well you see, my thinking is that since materials aren't worth so much (since people seem to just generate it), then it would make far more sense to recoup PP. For example, you could take a Fusion Reactor from the caravel and move it to your ship. Just a thought, would it be fair if you could recoup half of the PP?

Moving stuff around would be fine. But things have been cast so unless you are refitting them onto a similar ships you can't use the PP of one ship on another ship.

How bout using the things on the caravels to make production stations?

If we get a module system then taking stuff off of one ship and putting it on a planet or station or other ship would be fine.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

That convinced me. Let's make a module system!

The towers were made of wood, but were covered in rawhide to protect them from fire arrows. Although these towers were possibly the largest of their kind ever made, the Tyrians quickly devised a counterattack. They used an old horse transport ship, filling it with dried branches, pitch, sulfur, and various other combustibles. They then hung cauldrons of oil from the masts, so that they would fall onto the deck once the masts burned through. They also weighed down the back of the ship so that the front rose above the water. They then lit it on fire and ran it up onto the causeway. The fire spread quickly, engulfing both towers and other siege equipment that had been brought up. The Tyrian ships swarmed the pier, destroying any siege equipment that hadnt caught fire, and driving off Macedonian crews that were trying to put out the fires.

A fireship was a pirate suicide ship, it was filled with black powder and set on fire before impact.

And now you know where they got the idea from :)

Ok lets standardise then:

Six essential groups of modules:

Power Plant (The thing that powers your ship)

Armour (The thing that protects your ship)

Shield (The other thing that protects your ship)

Weapons (The thing that blow up other ships)

Primary Systems (The stuff that stops your crew/computer/psionic toad dying)

Engines (The thing that makes you move)

The 48 Fighter Class Caravels are worth how many points each in battle? Also, how much are the capital class caravels worth each in battle?

How much PP does it take to build a sandwich, 'cause I think you're cheating there Arch.

Btw I added a page for TFed to that site :P

Well they were built as a mish mash between quick builds because I was eating Asterisk, slow builds because PP had just been introduced and then silently posting till someone said something =P

Oh, and there were only 270 ships in total so...

Anyway I don't know the point cost. I will work it out in a minute.

Oh and random tidbit. The DOCKING procedure was basically getting 9 Caravels which didn't have warp drives and securly fastening them to 1 that did. Hence there are only about 20 Warp Capable ships in the armada.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
