Hello people of war torn sector. This is the System of Free World's calling. How are you? We are having a great time in sector unity, the two alien races we have met seem to be none hostile. They are the Astare and the F'Calant.

The Astare system to be the same as us(Humans that is) in many ways, except that in their history the Hunter Gathers were confined to the mountianous regions while the Farmers roamed on the grasslands, developing into a society so that when the Hunter Gathers came down to attack they were defeated and absorbed into the community, allowing the Astare to develop without war or conflict. Spending over twenty five thousand years before they developed space technology, as opposed to our seventeen thousand years, they have a rich sense of morality without deity. It is amazing.

The F'Calant are silicon based. Their evolution seemed to have coincided with carbon based life on their planet, but when a comet passed too close to their planet it sparked an Ice Age, which killed all the more developed carbon life forms, while the silicon based lifeforms, in the upper core, survived and took center stage, but with the surface ice miles thick they could not reach the surface. However from the depths they attempted to develop and succeed. After almost half a million years the comet returned, ending the ice-age, allowing them to break though the remaining thousand feet of ice and begin to colonise the arctic surface using deep veins of CO2 to warm the planet into the -20 Degrees range, which suited the adult(+300 Earth Year) population down to the ground. However younger F'Calant could die from crystaline fracturing or at least have serverly stunted growth from the rapid crystal formation. Of course that doesn't stop the macho among them from venturing to the surface in shows of manliness.

 

Anyway they are both small empires, spanning only two solar systems each. We have begun colonising Veras, an asteroid belt in the the F'Calant home system of Legates.

The shipyards in Holmgard are complete, and are churning out battleships at a steady rate of 50 per year (BS are like...100PP :/)

Good choise of name for a shipyard, Holmgard would mean something kinda like Portsville(Holm is the same as holme which means a place where it is common to have boats and gard is a old version of gård which means farm, but it is also used a lot in city-, mansion-, and last names).

It was also the Varangian name for the city of Novgorod. :P

I think he's implying that he's cutting his other funds in order to fund his increased space fleet production. The new regime are obviously a bunch of despots.

He moved funds around. On a side note any dissatisfied ex Nigerian citizens are given offers to be sent to a Malaysian mining colony on a desert world (good for your species if I remember correctly) where they will get a proportional vote in Malaysian parliament
