They can maintain 40 mph for long distances3. They have a top speed equal to that of humans on land, but they have much less endurance (without water pacs, which I'm not sure are allowed)4. Most kelp contains a chemical which is processed by the body to create a testosterone-like substance in the body, much like a steroid. It is also the reason why the heart functions (the heart needs to pump blood really fast) and why men are so stupid. Females create a different substance out of the same chemical which make them leaner (lean strong, not muscular strong), and it improves brain function (much like why eating Salmon is good for you). Ridiculous resistance, incredible strength, amazing endurance, built in medical overlays to their clothing which function pretty much the exact same as your goaoulds or whatever they are, yes.+ My people are trained from the age of sperm.
