Contestants will participate in events in land-simulated rooms. They enter through submarines bearing their nation's colors. The swimming event will take place in a natural enviroment, with an "around-the-world" race planned. Upon their return (assuming they return), they will be treated to a feast of the oldest most delicious fish in the sea, prepared by fine sushi chefs on a kelp plate. To Dusty, I would like to host the next games. :) --------- They have to be brainwashed. It will take 7 years or so, we are using advanced life extension techniques to ensure their continued usefulness. The top 10,000 soldiers will be inducted into project Merc.Space production continues as normal, and the fleet from Tefarn has just arrived in the local area. The local area is Sol, correct?I usually say that to mean basically all the systems within ~20ly of sol. But in this case, yeah. (you cant beat an 150 ICBM starting fireworks display retech) if chosen construction of an 100 billion dollar new stadium commences. Also I am entering several cloned soldiers bred to be the best at said events also they have performance enhancing nanites and a [cabbage] load of training...EDIT: The gilded stadium would be constructed on nova lux as would the corresponding A-class walkers. Nanites, that hardly seems fair. :) -------------- I'm sending some scientists to aid in the construction of the swimming based events. My people have a specialty in that, so they know how to keep water clean without chlorine and other advantageos pool keeping things. To Archi, it might be fun if you did. Of course, the only events were syncronised swimming and the dashes. The event was often capped with an "around the world" swim, which lasted for several weeks. Since my planet was much larger, more than half the contestants either gave up and settled down where they failed, or died. Any swimming event should be a piece of cake. :) Master of your domain? If need be, some of the Guardsmen can help maintain the games by keeping the possibility of riots at a bare minimum. Regardless, athletes are being trained for as many categories as possible.
