And the way we travel does the same thing. It compresses spacetime making a different, much smaller dimension in a bubble around the ship. The ship travels at normal speeds inside the moving bubble, but travels huge distances in our own dimension. So yea, not really researching anything new.

I thought a warp drive was one that bent space time such that the spaceship doesn't move at all, but the spacetime warps from the front of the ship to behind the ship, so basically the universe is moving in a sense, rather than the ship.

Continued training gives even better results, "avarage" jaffa can now lift 750 kg.

 

A tel'tak fleet containing twenty jaffa athletes of over 170 years and three goa'uld representatives have been dispatched to join the competition.

(I hope there's a diving competition, jaffa could even beat the lichtes there (if a jaffa would happen to loose consiousness under water the goa'uld symbiote would provide it with oxygen for an indefinite ammount of timenand thus the jaffa will stay underwater until it is picked up))

1st- Lighting of the Cannon of Life with the Torch of Death(Replaces the Olympic Torch) and the Techno 5 KM Marathon.

2nd- Basket Ball, Boxing and Football Tournaments start. The Techno 10 KM Marathon.

3rd- The Indoor Athletics Sprints (50 Meters, 55 Meters, 60 Meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and 600 meters). The Techno 20 KM Marathon.

4th- 800 metres, 1000 metres,1500 metres, 1600 metres. The GM 5 KM Marathon.

5th- The Water Sports opening event. 100 Meters, 150 meters and 200 meters Swimming events. GM 10 KM Marathon.

Torch of Death: A continually burning torch.

X KM Marathon: Knock out series of runs to get the best of the best for the final Light Second Event.

Techno events: Competitors are allowed to use anything they want to race.

GM events: Competitors must use built in body advantages only.

2*700 Meter Hurdles: 2 Meters high by 700 meters long.

Build a bomb event: Build a bomb for the Award Ceremony, the bombs will be sent into space to celebrate. The bombs are then judged, but the designs are kept by the host.

'Under the Table' Drinking Tournament: Sort of a relaxing event.

200 Minute Radiation Test: Using specially built chambers people are irrated to see how long they can survive. The longest survivor is declared the winner. 20,000 R(ontgen) is the supply. Prevention methods are encouraged.

FLOP: Floating point Operations Per Second. Teams must build a computer capable of working at whatever is the specified speed. They are given until the award ceremony to finish the build, the closest to the set amount wins, but the host keeps the computer.

 

The awards are simple, winners(Of each event set, so there is 1 for all the hurdles) get a +1% to combat. Plus some medals.

Hmmm, I wonder who would win in an aquatic competition, a species of amphibians with GILLS and surprising grace (lots of them do water ballet) or a species of land dwellers. I can safely tell you the amphibians would win, as they are actually designed for swimming, can swim up to 60 mph, and don't need to come up to breathe (lots of friction happens because the swimmer is above the water).

I wonder who is going to win the swimming competition for GM 10 km and 20 km. Oh btw Archi, I think Mather should get a 5 second penalty on all his scores, since he's competing with twice as many athletes. :)

Also I never claimed jaffa could outswim you, only that if there was a competition abou being the longest underwater they would survive(while unconsious ) until your people got so bored they gave up.

Yep, I'm entering someone in gymnastics, but it's not going to be pretty. One mistake and bam, the person's bones split in half (well cartilage, but basically the effect is that only skin and muscle is holding them together). They're also not that agile on land, but they're decently fast.

Yeah I am modifiying certain exosuits to compete... Also I might as well tell people what ARCHIVE T is. In short it is a tachyon drive. It has certain limitations (Xyears to energize a field to get the ship to act like a collection of tachyons 0years of travel as it would be instantaneous and X years to de energize field while staying .5 lightyears away from a start) I was hoping X= .25 years but if that is game breaking it could very well be changed.

The Durendal drones aren't at full power but could probably lift and hurl a tank a few dozen metres, so it's all good. The stadium had better be quite big, or they're going to end up hitting their head on the ceiling.

Also exosuits should be allowed as they would allow humans to compete with the other species...

I hope you realize that training doesn't increase exponentially, there's a cap to how much a person (or in your case a "Jaffa") can lift without other modifications.

I have a feeling any of the strength (throwing, weightlifting) as well as the fencing are going to have the Federation for the winner.

For fencing there are 3 different Praetorian guards that are competing, who have been trained with swords since birth (they use guns too! :P).

 

Btw the stadium is gigantic, yes.

 

Also, construction sites are off-limits to any foreign nationals, if they're found at one they will be shot without questions. The battlestations are also off-limits (obviously).

There will be 20 Federation Battleships running space security, as well as Midgard's E2S Fighters.

Route through the asteroid belt around Yggdrasil has been sent to participating governments, but the route changes every 5 years so don't think you now know it indefinitely.

Dusty fencing is rather different than "Yarghh I use my giant sword to hack of body part X" if your praetorian guards were trained to use for instance a broadsword then they would loose to my bred for fencing and modified before birth athletes simply because they know how to use a foil (well it depends on what type of sword they would be using for fencing)
