I haven't finished it yet, but started watching Forrest Gump...now I understand the line "Run, Forrest, Run!" at least .

Grave of the Fireflies. For some reason it just didn't really touch me and I found it kind of boring and slow.

The man who knew too little.
God-[bleep]ing-damn Bill Murray. I laughed pretty much all the movie non-stop. I can't understand how this movie flopped at the box office.

The new Jurassic Park movie was surprisingly good. 8/10, would see it again. Almost felt like a comedy movie, the humor was good

Hot Girls Wanted.
A seriously eye-opening (and good!) documentary. Have happened myself on these girls.

I watched Twelve Monkeys, was really good! And reading IMDB's trivia page was a nice bonus - it paints the director as quite a character too. Apparently there is a TV show based on it now so I'm currently watching the one season that has been made, but that probably won't take me long to finish .

Desperado was a real sex and violence classic. I found it on youtube the other day.

I just finished watching Chinatown. One of the best modern movies of the genre that I have seen. The ending is horribly depressing as always.
“I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”
“Do you have any regrets?”
“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”
“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”
“Mmmhmm.”

I watched that with my brother last night on Netflix. I liked it until the film started pushing an agenda and twisting the facts around, at which point I started losing interest in it. It bothered me how they implied that the girls were forced to do certain things, when in reality they volunteered for it
There were still some notable amusing moments though such as:
- the girl who somehow couldn't figure out why the Duke girl was getting more attention than her
- that one girl's chump boyfriend (and the purity rings LOL)

Chappie.... 2/10 just for great cgi work on the robots.
First off, big thank you to whoever nearly gave me a heart attack and is about to get fired from the canadian film board for rating it as a 14a or 13+ for explicit language and violence... Thanks for missing the scene with the porno playing in the back ground and me praying to god my 13yr old niece who was watching it with me didn't notice.
Secondly here's the trailer and spoilers ahead.

Show of hands who thought it was a mix of robocop and irobot with a robot police officer gaining intelligence, finding the meaning of life and his place in the world ect. It sounds like a good movie.
Waste of money.

Yeah. It almost felt like it could have been two separate movies, and the second half was just plain underwhelming even before the ending.
Prior to that: Jurassic World. I get that it's Hollywood and it's more than a little unreasonable to expect anything resembling accuracy from them, but it almost feels like it could have been a better movie if they had taken fewer liberties.

Just watched The Martian in theaters the day before yesterday.. It was definitely a good movie. I also saw Black Mass last week; another great movie!

Though after really thinking about the movie afterwards, it made me like it less in hindsight. It's one of those movies where you just have to shut your brain off to really enjoy it. The ending still bugged me though. Not really a fan of the direction they took with Daniel Craig's Bond

Saw The Martian aswell.
Pretty great. But I expected something even a bit more. Felt kinda underwhelmed by all the hype.

Poltergeist, 1975 version. It's pretty good for a 70s movie.
