Was talking to Mod Mark yesterday he said the +1 stat was a glitch, and if 20 categorys had been added it doesnt mean 20 skills are coming out.

 

 

 

So I'm guessing the new category could be Name Changing and it saying your older name? or something like that.

 

 

 

Even if it's a big cover up I still don't see a skill being out for 3-5 months yet.

 

 

 

And my arguement is always... a new skill is always being worked on so nothing exciting.

Yes but it's because a new category has been added which could mean a new minigame ranking, it could mean anything, of course whatever I say and people are always going to argue skill, a skill is ALWAYS being worked on but I don't see one coming for several months..

 

 

 

Basically we've had the game engine overhaul so yes a skill is probably going to come sooner or later, but nost just yet.

Just because they added something behind the scenes doesnt mean the new skill is comming out soon. It just means that runetek 5 is the runetek that the new skill would be held on. So sometime before we get runetek 6 we should have ourselves a new skill could be weeks could be many many many months who knows....

There's no question that a new skill is in development. They have told us that more than a few times. So, yes, a new skill is coming out, but this glitch doesn't give us any idea as to the time of release. This makes the glitch pretty insignificant, considering it just told us something we already knew.

They've covered almost everything already, so I would think that the new skill would sound unimpressive at first glance. Whether it really is fun or not, though, depends on development.

Am I the only one that's actually pissed about it being so long since a new skills was released? By the time a new skill is released I feel like it will have been far over 2 years since Summoning, and to me, that just seems ridiculously long, especially since I'm coming up to my last 125 levels and they sure as hell don't come quickly. I need something new to train! Of course I'll continue to train old skills, but new skills are what keep me playing, and as of late the lack of a new skill has actually made me become a little bored with playing.

 

 

 

*Sigh* Maybe I'll wait it out a couple months, otherwise I'll switch to WoW in the meantime. lol. (I can hear the cries of anti-WoW players now.)

 

 

 

Really, though...I am secretly hoping that it was a hint at a new skill even though Andrew denied it. He also said it is very secretive and he really really can't even hint about it...so why would he admit to us that the supposed glitch with the high scores was actually a leak on a new skill? This is only the optimistic side of me speaking. =-p

Summoning doesn't feel new any more, still quite a lot people underestimate it's power.

 

 

 

Andrew declined that the +1 thing was the new skill, but maybe Andrew isn't fully informed, which could be plausible in my opinion, due the fact he's been working on rt5?

 

 

 

And well, with the huge name-changing-update it was useful to reserve once space for the new skill? idk?
