Me_Hate_Libs
Okay, I'm f2p now. No biggie. Anyway, I've been fishing for Swordfish. I use the swordfish gloves because they only take me about 45 minutes to get at Fist of Guthix. Now when you're doing it, of course you're gonna get tuna. We all know it. We all hate it. It seems like though as I fill up my inventory, drop the tuna, fish more, drop the tuna again, and etc, as you get down, you always cone down to one spot. All you need is one more swordfish. Now when I'm trying to get, this is when I seem to always get 8 tuna in a row, and then the little pop up that my inventory is full. It takes me like 4 minutes to get that one last swordfish. Does anyone have this annoyance? This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
Gin_and_Tonic
Maybe you could just bank that last Tuna? Im not sure where you're fishing, but it seems like you'd save an awful amount of time.

Gin_and_Tonic
So im assuming Karajama? In which case you sell to the guy? Then what is the issue with the Tuna?... I dont get this rant... You're complaining because of the last Tuna when all you need to do is sell it or bank it...
Me_Hate_Libs
My issue is that I want to catch a swordfish, my last swordfish, but I always get tuna. Like when I harpoon, out of 10, I'll get like 6 tuna and 4 swordfish, but when I have one spot left to fill with a swordfish, I'll get 8-10 tuna in a row and it takes forever. I said I'm f2p Swordfish. There's only one place to fish for swords on f2p, lol  Two spots, technically. Anyway, the phenomenon you describe simply does not exist. The ratio of swordfish/tuna is roughly 50/50, and what you've experienced is nothing more than chance. You can't flip a coin fifty times in a row and expect to get neat strings of heads-tails-heads-tails-heads-heads-tails-tails. If you shuffle a deck of playing cards, you're going to end up with some clumps of red cards and some clumps of black cards. It's natural and expected; you probably just pay more attention to it when you're dropping tuna one at a time. You got a 50:50 chance to get a green or red light. But you will 'seem' to get more red light when you pay attention to it. (Meh not sure if i put it the correct way.) But you will 'seem' to get more red light when you pay attention to it. (Meh not sure if i put it the correct way.) this only counts when there are 2 different traffic lights and not more because with three the chance of green would be 1/3 with four the chance would be 1/4 etc. http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. Many of them are set to hold traffic in certain directions for longer - especially in peak periods. At cross roads, you'll always find the route which they deem to have 'least' traffic will be green for a very short period of time, whilst in busier routes it'll be green for much longer. Its annoying as im always coming in from the 'least' traffic direction. :wall:
Me_Hate_Libs
First of all, tuna and swordfish are not 50/50, I have over 61/2 years since I first started being able to fish both that tells me it's not even close to that. I will agree with that. I rarely ever got 50/50 while fishing tuna/swordfish. Generally it was much closer to 70/30 or even 80/20. Like the much publicized 50/50 fail on iron ores, which I think is another load of crap. Also, maybe it is luck based, but it is extremely annoying. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Why, how large are your guys's data samples? Well, I did hear somewhere that as your fishing level got higher, the ratio approached 1:1. And you have 99 fishing. Soooo.... I remember fishing for about three hours and getting roughly 520 tuna and 350 swordfish. Numbers might be a bit off but not to where it'll change the outcome: not 1:1. Omali
So you're complaining that you have bad luck? This is just luck, 100% of the way. I don't understand why you're complaining. Then and stop tracking mud into the thread. This thread made me nostalgia back to my own days on Karajama fishing swordfish in f2p. I cooked my fish back then before taking it back to bank, and I can't say how many times I raged finally getting that swordfish, and then burning it. Harakiri
I fish a lot of swordies too, but I never really encounter this problem that much, I cook my tuna and then throw them out. I don't think it's really worth fighting over because it is luck.
Danny_TeamDan
I find it annoying as well. But theres really is no solution to this? Unless Jagex allowed us to choose if we want tuna or not? The most annoying part is the lil message that pops up that says 'you are full of fish you cannot fish anymore' If theres away you can disable that then that'd be nice. Cuz i'll try and anticipate the tuna to right click drop but the screen gets up in the way and messes it up. [ Haven't fished in awhile so this might have changed :o ]

ghost4sale1
I see why you're a bit upset and this has happened to me before. But runescape has some issues and one of them, is dumb luck. Sometimes it help when you hit your max hit 4 times in a row(I got a 600k drop) and most of the times it' just [bleep]ing annoying. But Jagex has to iron out that problem... and there's not much to do about it especially if you're f2p. My signature got deleted :( And I lost all the links. Thanks Gandorf61. Rien
I find the best solution to be simply dropping the entire bottom row once you come to the last inventory space. Drop your last three swordfish and the final tuna before fishing again; after that, pick the swordfish up again once you've fished an additional swordfish. 'Chances are you'll get at least one since you have four inventory spaces open. Interested in helping the Tip.It Crew? Check out our Website Updates & Corrections Board!
