Thats the impression I got from Wave, that it is aimed at business and the corporate world. Who else really needs to have that form of instant communication unless your working collaboratively on a project or something. Then after skimming that article you posted Wongtong it basically reemphasized that.

I've been using Wave with one of my teams in one of the games I play. It's made a forum/website/file transfer sites...etc useless. All the organizing, practice times, layouts, and strats all done on Wave. +1 for Gamers.

 

Also for a league I'm staff on, its made a lot of the projects we have to do become a much smoother online experience, as we don't have to chase down IM's, or wait on E-Mails. If I need something from this department/staff member, I make a wave and they'll know what's going on. +1 for Business.

It really does have a massive amount of potential if it gets picked up by a lot of people, it's too its not compatible with opera at this time.

It seems Google Wave runs much better in Chrome then it did before they released the Linux and Macintosh versions.
