April 9, 201016 yr My random events change based on how you rule your country. If you are a fair leader, and get rebellion, it will be a ragtag group that is easily dealt with. However, if you are an evil dictator, the rebellion could cause serious damage. I'll just have gestapo force walk around, if I keep the level of opression and fear up I could stop rebellions altogether. Can someone please tell me all the formulas needed for the hegemony, I know there's one to calculate expansion of population and another to shoe spending money, anything else, and what's the formula to them? This game will be the first chance I've had at a fair start, the rest were continuations of previous games.I
April 9, 201016 yr Hopefully you've learned from your previous mistakes and wont get everyone pissed at you by starting some stupid factory and having idiotic kill switches on everyone. Ask Mather for formulas, he's the only other person who uses Excel (I think)
April 9, 201016 yr Population:**** Avarage income:**** Tax:***% Other income:**** Total income:=A2*A5*A8+A11 Expendables:=A14/100*7.5 As for population growth I've always just used aproximatly 5% per year, except for the Goa'uld where I had 10%. Twitter: @TheMather1
April 9, 201016 yr You don't even need that complex of a formula. Pop growth is Pop*4.5, and GDP is GDP per capita*Pop*, and spendable income is GDP*.075
April 9, 201016 yr Trol, what about GDP per capita. How is that worked out. Ross, the mind control was a bit much but the kill switches were actually a pretty clever idea. It would allow me to stop rebellions in mere seconds. Also, who's interested in roleplaying a persistent world, i'm setting one up on RPGuild.
April 9, 201016 yr It would also get the entire rest of the world annoyed at you, and cause uproar in other countries. You can't perform a total media blackout on an entire country, and some information would leak out, and as soon as other people heard about it, there would be even more panic than before.
April 9, 201016 yr This 'mod' system only occured during the second hegemony and frankly it took away a lot of fun.Arguing over who wons was actually a pretty fun part of the hegemony. If it was a battle of 1000 gun men against 500 gun men logic would say that that the 1000 would win, a moderator doesn't need to decide that. I prefered it when we were all equal. And arguing until something wasn't done.... No.That can be combatted easily.... "Alright.... were going to have a vote now, who won? Dusty or Hex"Dusty: DustyRocco: DustyMather: DustyHex: Hex..... And we've established that Dusty won.
April 9, 201016 yr Doesn't work. People will choose the option that's best for them, so it would be way too biased. We have already realised that logic alone doesn't work. Besides, there are too many other factors involved in most cases. "My 500 soldiers had terrain advantage""My 1000 soldiers had better training for the situation""My X soldiers had Factor Y to help them win against Z"
April 9, 201016 yr For example in the first Hegemony, I had swarms and swarms of basic trained troops, but that didn't mean that I could defeat another army with more training. Infact, my forces were so badly trained, I could basically only use them as raiding parties. Lichtens = Orcs of Hegemony Master of your domain? April 9, 201016 yr Somebody here doesn't know their Warhammer 40k lore. In fact, scratch that, I'm probably the only one who does.

April 9, 201016 yr I did mean to include that, I must've not typed it. We got along fine during the first hegemony, if you try and change it its loses the fun. if we have a mod they shouldn't be allowed to play.

April 9, 201016 yr Wow.... that is not healthy. Anyways I am trying to stay away from 4chan in all it's forms though /tg/ is not as bad as one infamous board (though that board leaks throughout the entire site if you ask me).
