Jen prepares for a powerful attack (this preperation time hopefully makes it more powerful/increases chance of success)

I try to summon a cold fire stallion with aid from a pentacle and my fire battle staff.

Kemios, becoming slightly aggravated with the people in the tavern, leaves. He then returns to his castle and attempts to create some gems via earth magic.

Umbra-

You summon a dark elemental, and it screams and dies. You summon four shadow tendrils, and they all writhe and die. You set shadow spikes along the hallway, and they shatter. You can only use direct attack magic, really. The icy floor thing was a bit of a mistake on my part, and with the ice, I assume jen meant to channel it or something.)

 

Jen-

+2 to the roll.

 

The Final Guard gets within striking distance of Umbra, and slowly raises it's sword.

 

Grim-

You summon a cold fire stallion. +.3 fire xp.

 

Kemios-

Creating gems via magic is difficult, and you fail.

 

Ares-

Fails to forge his platerobe.

What the hell... the HALLWAY is ok, the castle is just what destroys magic, heck I even summoned things in there before :S, unless I rolled really low consecutively..

 

Umbra runs as far back as he can, back into the room where the Final guard appeared

 

Did the golem the FInal guard destroy, or really just appear out of, drop a life crystal or multiple?

I seal my house (by putting hell fire in the trough ) after leaving with golem and elemental in tow riding a cold-fire stallion. I will stop 1 mile away from potsdell and send the elemental to scout for me.

Jen fires (or attempts to) an extremely powerful ray of ice with her ice staff, hopefully enough to pierce the armor of the guard and maybe even go through it, impaling it like a pike.

 

(I have to go in a minute or two. I'm in the hallway btw.)

Kemios attempts to create some simple tin and copper with earth magic.

(Whoops Sorry, I meant I'm in the Banquet hall, inside the castle)

Yeah and I'm at the pedestal, down the stairs, past the castle, into that corridor

Umbra-

No, it wasn't a golem, it was a statue designed to look like a golem.

The magic which destroys magical constructs spread out of the door. The farthest parts of the room still work, but that would mean fighting the Final Guard at close range.

 

Grim-

It will take you 5 minutes to get there.

 

Jen-

Your blow glances off the Final Guard. You note that spirits coalesced to block the attack, and you note that some of them dissapiated after wards, so if you hammer away at it for a while, it might die, or at least become vulnerable.

 

The Final Guard swings it's sword, only slightly missing Umbra's neck by a few inches.

 

Kemios-

You fail, and turn your legs into solid rock.

 

Ares-

Fails to create his platerobe.

Kemios looks at his legs, then sighs. He attempts to turn his legs back to normal.

I back away quite far, atleast 5 metres, as it did only just brush me

 

Umbra concentrates as hard as he can

 

He tries to cause shadow spikes to come out the wall, but instead of keeping them out he uses them instantly creating a direct spike attack, if he creates more than one they all attack for different locations

 

After that he tries to fire large (as big as he can create) dark magic bolts in different locations on the skeletons body

 

I use my dark magic staff that increases casting speed by *2

Jen attempts to fire an extremely powerful ice ray, as well as a hail of shards from her ice staff.

Now that I am 1 mile away from potsdell I am sending my elemental to go and look around.

Kemios-

You turn your legs back to normal.

 

Umbra-

The spikes form as you like them to, but bounce off due to being weakened. It doesn't seem like shadow magic will work here.

You fire some weak shadow bolts at the Final Guard, damaging it slightly.

 

Jen-

You hit the Final Guard, damaging it some more.

 

The final guard slowly steps towards Umbra, backing him into a corner, and pulls it's sword back.

 

Grim-

Your fire elemental isn't very well regarded by the Potsdell citizens, who throw buckets of water on it, badly wounding it.

Umbra runs between the guards legs firing up with one hand a large dark magic bolt, that should hit pretty hard as that is most likely its critical spot (for most games i play with skeles in them, the junk is the weak spot)

 

I also pull out my sword and slash at its ankle

 

I carry on running to Jen

I heal it when it comes back and attempt to summon an earth elemental.

Jen fires a beam of ice, more powerful than before but more focused. She also sends some shards with it.

Kemios goes back to the tavern and asks if anyone knows the location of any ore deposits.

Archarnis goes hunting.

Umbra-

You manage to escape as it thrusts it's sword into the wall, a blow which would have certainly killed you if you had gone any other way.

You fire a shadow bolt, and slash at its ankle, damaging it. (FOR THE LAST TIME, IT ISN'T A SKELETON!) +.1 xp in dark, +.2 in swordsmanship.

 

Grim-

You summon an elemental, but you performed the spell far better than normal, and summoned a granite elemental. +.3 Geomancy.

 

Jen-

You damage the final guard some more.

 

The Final Guard turns around, swing it's sword with it, and missing Umbra.

 

Kemios-

"I heard o' one near that thar temple on the outside of town. The big 'un that popped up overnight some'ow." you hear a tipsy man say.

 

Archarnis-

You fail to find anything.

 

Ares-

Succeeds in creating a platerobe of balance. It provides +2 to light and dark magic, at a cost of dissallowing force magic to be used.

It is black on one side with a red trim, and white on the other with yellow.

+.5 smithing.

grim sends the granite elemental in to look for the man.

Umbra uses his staff of *casting speed

 

To speed fire dark magic bolts at the creature

 

I am for non armored areas

 

So its a revenent? (Armor animated with souls)
