Ok Mather is using a ranged attack so running in isn't an option.

 

I try to create an extra pillar to land above the shade, effectively crushing it in a prison of light

 

If that works I will try to make an orb of shadow needles to impale the beast all over and keep the bindings in place

Well I basically bound it to the floor. Stop firing Mather, Umbra is going to stab it in the heart.

I go left this time.

Jen-

Kay. You charge an attack.

 

Hakon-

It deflects the bolt again. +.1 archery

 

Umbra-

You create a pillar which slams down on the shades back, and then balances there.

You impale it using spines of light. +.3 shadow.

 

Grim-

You come across another fork in the path.

I go left again. (can I get an idea as to what I am trapped in?)

Jen unleashes a powerful attack: a massive spike of ice which comes up from the ground and impales the shade in the heart. She uses her ice staff, and hopes the charge will make the attack go off without a hitch. This spike of ice will hopefully convert into solid fire, rather than just a flame.

Ok guys, brace for the goddam epicness

 

I shout out "SOL!"

 

And try to explode the pillars and try to make them force inwards like an implosion at the same time

 

(I was gonig to say DAWN as its the opposite of dusk, but the latin version sounded bad :/)

Håkon rests.

Grim-

Think back to the LoZ forest bit. You go down the left path, and end up back where the paths first started.

 

Jen-

You unleash a large spike of flame which stabs through the shade (Who said it had a heart/any organs of any kind?) +.2 ice.

 

Umbra-

You create a large orb of light and a resounding boom, which then slowly fades, to reveal the shade standing up again. There is an echoing laughter in the area.

 

Hakon-

Kay.

I stare stunned...

 

I ready caladbolg and wait for the next bit.

Kemios attempts to recover, if he hasn't already.

I go right at the fork and then go left and then go right again.

Jen attempts to charge an attack using her ice staff, then prepares to swing her polemace and spin to hit a shade which may appear behind her. She is equally aware of something going in front of her. (Just so it doesn't get any bonuses if it does that, hopefully)

I think we need magekiller for this.

 

Håkon wields two mk bolts and body slams and stabs the shade.

(For the rest of this fight, the death rules are altered. if you die, you will appear nearby and lose only .5 xp. You can expect to die at least once, but the rewards should be worth it.)

 

Umbra-

Kay.

 

Kemios-

You manage to recover.

 

Grim-

You come to another fork.

 

Jen-

You charge an attack.

 

Hakon-

You attempt to charge the shade, who grabs you, and throws you a few dozen metres.

 

 

 

The shade reveals two large wings upon it's back. The sword it was using has now split into two, equally huge swords. The aura of darkness around it seems to intensify.

Awww [cabbage], uber mode?

 

Umbra waits for Caladbolg to recover, while he charges up another large light pillar to land on the shade

Kemios attempts to fly onto his roof again.

 

(wait, what's this about Grim being stuck in a LoZ forest?)

(My poor ice magic exp. Oh well, this should be fun, so I can risk it. -Prays not to die-)

 

Jen fires her charged attack, a combination of a powerful icy gale and ice shards, making it a hail storm. She does this with her ice staff.

I go left at the fork.

Umbra-

Yeah, clipped wing angel.

You slam a light pillar onto the shade, who then proceeds to slice it into several pieces with sword motions almost too fast for you to see.

 

Kemios-

You fail and sprain your wings again.

Grim got caught in a magical forest.

 

Jen-

(You don't have much choice anyway, theres no other way out :P )

You fire a large blast at the shade, who blocks it with one of it's swords.

 

Grim-

You arrive back at the start.

I go back to the last fork and go right.

I attempt to land a pillar on the sword, a few of them, to destroy the sword.

Jen attempts to cast a spell so that ice starts bursting out of the shade's chest region with her ice staff.

 

(Do we get any experience for awesome spells, even if they are too weak to damage it? :P)

Kemios attempts to heal his wings.

Grim-

You need to remember the way. Otherwise it kinds of kills the point.

 

Umbra-

You land a pillar on the shades sword, and it proceeds to launch it at you as a projectile, hitting you square on the chest and then crushing your leg as you hit the ground. +.1 darkness.

 

Jen-

Fire bursts from the shades chest, but it seems unphased.

+.1 ice

(Eh, depends on how awesome they are I guess.)

 

Kemios-

You fail.
